 Here is my situation.

Long story short: I already have Mass Effect 2, I have just about all of the DLC's. My old computer got formated and all my games got deleted :crying:. I am now here in the United States. My old computer is in my home country in the Philippines. In preparation for ME3 I am asking a family member I know to mail me my ME1 and ME2 (which I left behind in the Philippines).

He sudjested I instead get new one's from amazon, or in this case Steam.

I am wondering if the ME2 DLC's will work in a Steam based game, and if there is any "special" steps that need to be taken to download them, which would otherwise be unneccesary for a none-steam game.

I also want to know if "downloading" ME1 profiles will work in a steam based ME2 and what the steps are to doing so if they differ from a none-steam ME2. I don't want to play ME1 all over again.(I played 6 playthroughs and I seriously dont want to have to do all that agian!)

Thank you all for your time and consideration. :D

To clarify, what i mean by "downloading" a ME1 profile, I dont mean "transferring". I really do mean downloading a customized ME1 profile from a website to ME2.
