When I first did the SP Demo Insanity was a big step up from ME2, and it still is (esp in the demo where we can't tweak the loadout)

But Silver (1-3 man) and Gold really prepare you quite well for it, really help get the mechanics down!

I don't about preparing for insanity but the multiplayer certainly made me decide to change my class after importing from ME2.

Agreed. Atlas mechs are not scary anymore, and the better AI only goes so far. Phantoms cheat with their magnet aim (hello retro lancer bayonet, hello lancer chainsaw) but at least it teaches to keep them away + frozen.

Bring it.

I thought the same thing. I haven't really played on silver or gold yet since I'm still figuring out which class is my favorite in multiplayer (Soldier in SP, and so far Adept in MP. Go figure). But the new mechanics felt a little foreign at first. After getting my butt kicked by the Atlas in SP, I decided to try my hand at MP for a while.

Now I'm combat rolling and finding cover with ease.

Exactly it's been great for me, I almost thought I'd have to do my first run on *gasp*Image IPB hardcoreImage IPB
