Yeah, just play on bronze with some randoms, you'll have fun if you like the combat in the main game.

both. MP's fun so I don't see a reason to ignore it, and intentionally skipping side missions just seems like an opportunity to miss potentially great action/storytelling/etc.

I think some of side missions act as "modifiers" like the multiplayer acts as a "modifier" for Galactic Readiness which in turn affects GAW and therefore the ending. I think people have taken the Galactic Readiness as a multiplayer thing only, you can play singleplayer and still get the same modifier as playing multiplayer, its just player preference.

Probably a bit of both.

For my Paragon Shep probably just stick to single player with side missions.  Chances are I won't be playing Multiplayer until I finish a Single-player playthrough anyway, despite how awesome it is.  Then switch to MP for my Renegade playthrough.

Since I love playing the MP, I might have a few characters to add to my SP run through at first, but I want to do as much of the SP game as possible...so probably both.
