If they get upset its because they are ignorant on world history and their own religion. So it's their problem, and a problem that they want to have.

The Bible also teaches that it's okay to stone to death your wife if she's been raped, yet I don't see anyone just grabbing that verse out of thin air to make a point or trying to hammer home that that's okay just because its in the Bible. The bottom line is people pick and choose what they want to believe in the Bible based on their own personal fears and then try to justify it all under the banner of God. It sickens me.

And it frustrates the Christians who do actually try to be good people.

Well Mass Effect is set in The Future. Who knows what kind of religion Ash practices? It could even be a christian sect which does not believe that homosexuality is a sin. The fact of the matter is that she's never expressed any sort of opinion either way.

Funny, I know plenty of gay Christians and I know plenty of Christians in general who don't give a crap about anyone's sexual preference.  I'm pretty sure they all consider themselves "real" Christians even if you don't.

I'm not talking about belonging to an organized religion, you seem to be implying that I am not allowed to believe in a higher power or have any sort of spirituality.

Not sure what denomination of christianity that person is, but I was raised by evangelists and we were taught that this verse states that Jesus came to enforce all of the laws of the old testament. This would include rape being a mar on the woman, stoning, slavery etc. Good think I got the f**k out as soon as I could.

This goes into an area that is specifically against site rules.  I've already talked aobut it more than I should have.  There is more to say about the issue but this is not the site to do so since bioware says not to talk about it.

To everyone else:  I'm sorry if my religion offends you.  But it is my religion and I'm just as entitled to my beliefs as you are yours.  I have every much a right to be offended and voice my opinion.  Just as you are getting GLBT characters that represent you...I want to be represented in the same way.  And doing this to Ashley will offend me.

Even though you've yet to explain how exactly you know that Ashley is Christian, when that is never explicitly said in the game?
