By your logic, my wife is gay rather than straight. We've known each other for 10 years before we even started having feelings for each other. Believe it or not, just because a person is not interested then does not mean they won't be interested in the future. That means that it is not, in any way, "character reconstruction" for Ashley to be into femshep, it just means she only saw her as a friend. She realizes how much Shepard actually meant to her when femshep died, then sees Shep working with Cerberus (which is hardly a moment to go "guess what, I have feelings for you). In ME3, she finally has a chance to share those feelings or those feelings are a little weak but are there.

Megabad, why won't you answer this? I'm trying to have an actual discussion with you to try to understand. So again....

I'm curious. What exactly is it that bothers you? How is it specifically that you think your game, your head canon is going to be affected if someone else wants to romance Ashley with a femshep or Kaidan with a manshep? Do you honestly think that the sexual orientation of a character is going to so change the essense of what makes that character that character?

What about Garrus and Tali? They showed zero interest in Shepard in ME1. By your logic, that means that they can never develop an attraction to Shepard or else that's character derailment.


Yes, and they explained that in ME2.

That's what I'm saying. The VS needs to explain this thing, why no interest before? And I bet Bioware are too cheap to do it.

Have you played the game? No? Then how do you know for sure that they haven't?

Actually, it's an in-game fact Kaidan thinks both female and male Shepard are straight.

I don't mind, since they aren't taking out the option for those who are homosexuals or bisexuals, or just have curiosity.

I really would prefer if all flirtations were initated by Shepard. Tali's stupid little crush never fails to irritate the hell out of me.

I don't think they'd throw such a fit over it especially not if they had 4 other LIs all to themselves while straight players got squat for the last 2 games.

If your Shep doesn't express any interest in someone I wouldn't worry about that person sneaking into your quarters and snuggling up for a cuddle. No one is going to force anyone to romance anyone. This is all just so silly. And the idea that the personality of a given character is going to be radically different if they decide "oh hey I like you" is so ridiculous I'm actually laughing.
