@ bigaddygun - ooh, the plot thickets! I still have a chance at being right here.Of course still for me to be right a dev would have to be wrong... Crap.
The ship in the demo is a cruiser lol. If you go to my previous reply above and look for the link, the crusier is in the red circle in the Art Book - possibly to show comparsion of size. After all dreadnoughts range from 800m to 1km in length. The ship in the demo looks a lot less than 800m long.

A business out to make profit?, how original!, I certainly hope the business I work for makes a profit, I want to get paid!tez19 wrote...
I'm sure Bioware will be counting their profits though with glee and wringing their hands.
But hey, if this oversight has caused you so much grief, then vote with your wallet, simple enough.

Yes, bugs that cannot be tested as they do not have the sheer volume of people like consumers is acceptable. A script error in the VERY first mission of the game is not and just seems lazy and not proof read, and no communication between art and writing departments. It is unnacceptable and highly disappointing. I turned my xbox off when i played the demo this morning straight after hearing ashley say 'dreadnought'.didymos1120 wrote...

OK, great. You of course realize that perfection is hardly ever attained right, despite being striven for?

We'll wait.
Also if this bothers you, then don't buy it. No one is forcing you to do so.
Don't like it? Don't buy it.

So why didn't you give up in disgust when Elanos Haliat looked like a human but had an obviously turian voice? Or when Pressly said "Terminus System" instead of "Terminus systems"? Or when Legion said "Ilos" instead of "Virmire"?

Obviously companies have to make profit. My point was that this game will bring them HUUUGE profits and they 'can't be bothered' to spend the extra cash to get the line done again and correctly. Sounds like unprofessionalism to me and total disregard of their fanbase and product. Strive to be the best Bioware, like you USED to be.DJBare wrote...

Oh, and you know for a fact that was why it wasn't fixed?

it was a dreadnought if it was a cruiser the reaper would of 1 shotted it with its main gun while this ship took 2-3 shots from the main gun of said reaper 1 to drop shields 2 to finish it of end of story
Yeah, and they wanted to fix it, but the VO was done and it wasn't feasible to re-record. COPE.
Wouldn't the easier fix have been to swap in the dreadnaught model?

Now whether a dreadnaught should be able to get that low to the ground without crashing is debatable, as the lore says they can't land on planets, though this one doesn't exactly land and they are in a rather extreme situation where they may be willing to pull a few more dangerous moves like that.
That was my take on it. Stressing the mass effect maybe? I do know that if you *are* going to use a dreadnought against a Reaper that's currently on the surface of Earth, thats pretty much the only way to do it, as any misses when firing from space would do more damage then the Reapers were doing.
To be honest, I wasn't that surprised to see it - I mean, one of the Quarian Flotilla cruisers seems to be ambling quite nicely across the sky on the Korlus mission in ME2, so I've no doubt that an Alliance commander would sanction the same maneuver under the situation in ME3.

First you have the completely contradictory introduction , then not long after you get the cruiser mixup.
Average person probably won't notice either, but it's still sloppy for such an early part of the game.

People are a bit more alert when theye start a game so having errors at the start is probably 10 times worse than having them in the middle.

Unsure... DA2 was body blow but a first rate ME3 would wipe that out. Unfortunately it does not look like we are getting a first rate ME3.
It could just be bad luck sometimes you get bugs errors like that . But I just can't make sense of the intro that contradicts the other two games so completely. Someone must have noticed it.
I'd have called the VA's back myself and took the hit. I'd do that for anything on the first 2 levels or the final level of the game. The middle bit I'd trust I could get away with unless it was something truly outrageous.
