Ok, well then I guess it goes back to Ash/Kaidan simply said the wrong ship type. Just do this in your brain when you hear him/her say it in the game next time: "oh, Ash/Kaidan just said the wrong ship type, that's actually a cruiser, which looks much like a dreadnaught anyway, and considering Earth is currently getting obliterated and nearly everything you know is likely about to come to an end, everyone is probably more than a little stressed out right now and not very concerned with what ship type they just said was about to blow, so I think I'll let it pass..."

ARG, a continuity error that's only a problem if you're kinda obsessive about the details of lore and can't think of an in game reasoning for the discrepancy?

Pre order cancelled tbh.

People are a bit more alert when theye start a game so having errors at the start is probably 10 times worse than having them in the middle.

First you have the completely contradictory introduction , then not long after you get the cruiser mixup.

Average person probably won't notice either, but it's still sloppy for such an early part of the game.

Extremely sloppy. Bioware in decline?

Unsure... DA2 was body blow but a first rate ME3 would wipe that out. Unfortunately it does not look like we are getting a first rate ME3.

It could just be bad luck sometimes you get bugs errors like that . But I just can't make sense of the intro that contradicts the other two games so completely. Someone must have noticed it.

i dont even read it whats the point I know the game

What's this about the opening scene contradicting the first two games? What are we referring to here?

The text crawl saying "Reapers, a sentient race of machines responsible for cleansing the galaxy of all organic life every 50,000 years, are about to return."

Personally, I think people are taking it too literally.  It's obviously not intended to mean "down to the last bacterium".

apparently it says that the reapers destroy all organic life every 50,000 years instead of sentient organic life. blah blah. I am amused people actually read them read it for the first game thats about it. Was I missing something in not reading them.

Yes, bugs that cannot be tested as they do not have the sheer volume of people like consumers is acceptable. A script error in the VERY  first mission of the game is not and just seems lazy and not proof read, and no communication between art and writing departments. It is unnacceptable and highly disappointing. I turned my xbox off when i played the demo this morning straight after hearing ashley say 'dreadnought'.

So why didn't you give up in disgust when Elanos Haliat looked like a human but had an obviously turian voice?  Or when Pressly said "Terminus System" instead of "Terminus systems"?  Or when Legion said "Ilos" instead of "Virmire"?

I still want to hear OP's response to this.

You should start a new thread about it.  Make sure to be extra jerkish.

No worries. I still find enjoyment in things despite there being tiny imperfections. I'm not an anal, drama queen when it comes to entertainment.  But hey, just trying to make sure you don't leave yourself vulnerable to a character attack.

Yeah that all organic life thing bugged me but it's not like the actual story is suddenly changed and now the Reapers are in fact killing off insects on undeveloped worlds too, it's just a misleading background text, not the new canon. I mean Shepard even says something similar in the ME2 Genesis comic thing, it's just an undescriptive and misleading summary of what the Reapers do. Still bothersome though.

They did that in DA2 and all that happened was that the Darkspawn got turned into putties.

GODDAMNIT WILL SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CANON???!!!! :P

Tali says it when snarking at Garrus in ME1 too:

"I'm pleased that the imminent destruction of all organic life has improved your career opportunities."

Now is this an error, or just a rhetorical device?  I'm going with the latter.

But it is hilarious you felt the need to correct my spelling using insufficient grammar.

I take the "the galaxy" as to really mean "all known parts of the current galactic civilization", not literally the whole thing. Not saying it shouldn't say something different though.
