Multiplayer campaign please, Bioware!

What occurred to me is to make the multiplayer more like Left 4 Dead's. Instead of just wave combat (which reminds me of the atrocity that was Dragon Age 2), make maps where you at least move forward, with a cool co-op event here and there. Wouldn't even need dialogue (or at least only minimally).
If there was PvP, it would need to be like Left 4 Dead's Versus mode where the teams take turns either fighting as their characters or fighting alongside the enemy faction.
Sadly, given Bioware/EA's track record of being lazy, I doubt any kind of cool things like this will ever be implemented.

You act like people never complain as it is. This forum, and every forum on the internet is made up of a bunch of people complaining about every little thing. People ****ing shouldn't stop a company from making multiplayer. You know what games have PvP? Battlefield 3, Starcraft II, Uncharted 3. Great multiplayer games. I'm sure a lot of people complained about each one, but that still shouldn't matter.Moonshadow_Dark wrote...

PvP will never work.
When you kill an A.I opponent, he doesn't cry to the forums asking for your abilities to be nerfed because he kept getting caught by Stasis and Cryo. A.I Opponent doesn't send you messages laced with profanity and makes threats on your mother's life when you top the kill board. A.I Opponent doesn't sit in the post/pre-game lobby whining about how it is so unfair that he got the suck teammates and that everyone in the lobby are n00bs with no life skills who will never get laid by a member of the opposite sex.
This is why people like A.I Opponent. He is a nice, quiet, humble A.I.
Unless his name is Overlord.

Agreed.
Even the way they made the maps are PvP orientated just look at these two maps really look at them and tell me you couldnt see some versus action.
Also on topic they couldve done a splinter cell esque side story.

Hey guys,
So.. I've been playing the crap out of ME3-MP lately and love it as it is. However... I'd love to see a proper immersive ME multiplayer campaign in the future. I guess I'm thinking something like the main ME/ME2/ME3 game, but with four people playing, SWTOR-like group conversations and with the story catering for whatever characters people want to play.
Basically, if you've played SWTOR, something like a chain of flashpoints but with ME3-MP gameplay instead of cardboard MMORPG gameplay. Naturally, It'd be great to have a "hub" type of area like the Citadel or Normandy or something in between missions, too.
What do people think? DLC? Expansion? Whole new game? Whatever or however it comes, I'd so be there...
Yes maybe something like that, but I wouldn't want a story, I just want it to be more something like, Desert Thunder on a game like Combat Arms, where you work with a team to the end of a specific route, to disarm a bomb, or take out a target, or something like that.

I prefer this game PvE. It's a lot more fun that way and in all honesty that's how it should stay.

If implemented into the game correctly, this game mode can create fun, cooperative, and story-driven missions.

All bugs aside it's very well done, regardless of what you think of Horde game modes. What other people have said though, more variety such in objectives such as a 'Search and Rescue' would be great, possibly more 'campaign-like' maps involving escorting a key figure to an extraction point, or simply a 'move from point a to point b to point c to extraction' type campaign. Though to be honest I don't see a story-based co-op campaign happening any time soon, mostly due to having all four people move through the mission map to the end while mowing down enemies would feel too...easy.
As for PvP...it wouldn't work out well in the end without a large overhaul of class abilities which would probably ****** off a lot of people. and even then, the story for Mass Effect so far has been all about uniting against the common enemy, not much room for PvP there.

The way I see it, Mass Effect's next ventures into multiplayer, if any, should be built up on the system they've laid down for ME3 MP.

I totally agree about more and more dynamic objectives. I want to see something like BFBC2 Onslaught Mode - A linear map with 3-5 AI controlled points which need to be captured by pushing forward in addition to the mostly defensive and circular horde mode style gameplay. The way I'd like to see this implemented in the Galaxy at War system is like SW Battlefront 2. You and the enemy start with a fleet and control several planets. You move your fleet by a limited distance per turn on a galaxy map to an enemy controlled planet, which results in an offensive "Onslaught style" fight, and when the enemy moves their fleet to your planet it creates a match like the current MP, largely defensive. Based on the match type/planet the game would matchmake you. Perhaps some search and rescue etc missions as a side mission for bonus credits in a normal match. Of course there would be a freeplay so you could invite people and play with friends too.

The multiplayer hasnt even been live to everyone for 5 days and its all ready happening, PvE or PvP it doesnt matter. Elitist butthurt pricks are everywhere and in everything.
The point of it all is- is no matter how hard you pray and wish and hope for a PVP mode. It will never happen, so don't contemplate it, don't speculate, they've stated. They- as in the devs the people who made the actual game. Have said PVP is never going to happen. I dont see the point of bickering about it or pvp hope-full's bashing people who are trying to get you to realize the truth.
never say never...the devs are free to change they mind and development plan for their product as they see fit and as the community pushes for things.
The way I'd like to see this implemented in the Galaxy at War system is like SW Battlefront 2.
It would never work without the human opposition, thats why the mode was so good on battlefront.
Multiplayer like Army or Two would be amazing in ME3

Indeed. So let's not make it worse.

Or something along the lines of splinter cell where you play another N7 squad that gets flown to different planets to help hold the line.
Isn't that basically what Galaxy at War is anyway?
What IS the story here? Does this take place DURING Shepard's species recruitment? After? What's the deal with this?

If you do the N7 missions in the SP Shepard goes in and secures the area and the Admiral says something like "we will send a team to hold the site". So I would place the MP during the SP.

It's right up their alley. They get money from players who are to lazy to spend massive amounts of time and a playerbase that will keep people happy based on size.

Would certainly be interesting. Hell I'm sure you could hire voice actors for the various race/class combo's from amateurs and such and get off real cheap.
Bonus points if you release a development kit to let players make their own multiplayer stories.
