Like many of you,  I too have grown addicted to Mass Effect 3's multiplayer demo.   I really didn't expect much from this mode when I first heard about it...I'm stunned at how well it actually works...can't get enough of it and can't wait for the full iteration.

There's only one issue I have.  Which will I start with when I recieve my full retail version,  Multiplayer or Single player.
Being a massive fan of everything Mass Effect I'm leaning towards completing the story of Mass Effect 3 before I even touch the Multiplayer.

I'm estimating it will probably take me about 2 weeks to finish the story mode (depending on my work schedule) ...I just hope that when I do jump into multiplayer,  I wont be surrounded by all the high lvl OP players that have been playing mutliplayer from the start.  I've already noticed that people are kicking out lvl 1 players from matches in fear of their weakness.

I also feel that starting Multiplayer first will kinda ruin the weapon progression that will be revealed during the singleplayer.   Same goes for enemy progression...playing multiplayer reveals most of the enemies you will eventually face during the story...I don't want that ruined either by seeing them all in Multiplayer.

What will everyone start with...Multi or Single?

I would probably start single player....I don't give a crap if I have to build my characters again and quite frankly I'll just invite 1 or 2 friends to build up in bronze first before hitting up mainstream...in Bronze you only really need 2-3 players ranging from level 1-5 to win...so if people want to be a pompus and kick you out then that's there own problem. Hopefully we will see some level restrictions added to the "create a game" format.

Single player, no question. I love the MP she's a nice distraction and sure good to look at, but SP is where the heart is.

I'll be doing SP first and much like you I will have trouble completing it due to scheduling (so many midterms...). I'm not to worried about being behind all the other players because my rule of thumb is to be at least lvl 10 before entering silver and lvl 18 before gold. This way people won't rage at me if I join at too low a lvl and it only takes about 3-4 games to get to lvl 10 anyway. I think by doing the SP first you will at least have an idea of what your facing rather than fighting them in MP and having no clue when there is 3 banshees blasting you to bits.

Depends on if my presence is requested in multiplayer. If it is, I shall postpone my single player.

We should be able to solo the multiplayer, at least we can now. I got to the wave 11 on both maps solo. Hopefully they let us play alone if we choose to, i mean it's not a mmorpg and they shouldn't treat it as such. The whole forced grouping thing is so passe' these days, especially since most of us have jobs, families, other obligations and of course other games to play. A good example of soloing multiplayer is Gears of War 3. It lets you play alone, level and then play with others or not if you want. It even has bot support but that's optional, they don't force that either. Epic Games is superior in every way though, because they seem to understand the concept, or rather have never forgotten that games are meant to be fun by their very definition, and not a job like so many developers have turned their games into, forcing people who don't have time or want to play with others all the time. Hopefully this one's multiplayer follows that rule and allows choice, like it seems to now. I thought that was what the Mass Effect games were all about anyway.

I'll be playing both along side eachothers to get as good ending as possible.

I think you need to break down the word multiplayer.  Multi, more than 1.  Player, as in humans.  I think you've missed the entire point of the game mode and why it exists.

Wait, there's a Singleplayer? O_O

Yeah, I really don't know when I'll be getting around to the Campaign, this MP is just awesome. This is seriously the most fun I have had in MP in a long, long time.

I think I will do both at the same time. I do this with all my games. This really is a good problem to have. Trying to tear yourself away to enjoy the other mode can be hard sometimes. :)

You can play solo, but it might not be particularly easy or enjoyable. Bronze is easy enough to do solo if a bit time consuming, Silver it a bear and more tedious.
