Nope. A name call is a name call, but defending oneself and instigiating an altercation are not the same thing. Interestingly, our US courts believe the same thing.

Comparing the writing of Baldurs Gate 2 was Biowares last good game. KOTOR 2 was a buggy mess and was still better written than the first.

Kotor 2 wasn't even BioWare.

That's what I'm saying, lrn2readingcomprehension. Obsidian wrote a better story than Bioware with a smaller deadline and George Lucas constantly yelling at them.

The only good part of KOTOR was a the I AM REVAN twist.

And that is YOUR opinion. IMO Kotor 2 had a really crappy plot. I don't really see the point of you being on these forums at all. Clearly you have nothing constructive to say and your nerd rage can be felt across the Northern hempishere.

Firstly, 'women', not 'females', please. Clinical terms can be dehumanising.

Secondly, I'm sorry you seem to have encountered such women. I personally haven't.  In my experience, the women I've known who play games play them because, well... They like games. Our experiences have obviously differed.

It may not be strictly correct to say that people such as Hepler are persecuted because of their gender. Rather, as feminism often asserts, her gender was likely a contributing and influencing factor in why she was attacked quite so viciously. We live in a sexist culture. As can often be seen with other forms of prejudice - such as racism - discriminatory behaviour does not need to be overt to be discriminatory. Sexism is often subtle. This does not mean that it's not happening.

That's the thing about trying to reverse comments like that. You have to reverse the situation in which they were said, also. If women were dominant in the industry and men were not it might make sense, but as is, it doesn't function well as an argument.

I swear the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz has more brains then what some of the people are a saying on here right now.

Some people on the internet go to far. No one is saying they don't. But at the same time she is also a bad and untalented writer whos ideas for gaming are a potentially negative impact of gaming. The ability to skip portions of the gamplay as she is suggesting would mean that games could no longer be designed with gameplay and story integrated. You couldn't have story related conversations and content occur during missions because people skipping those missions would miss out. It would mean a huge step backwards in video game design. 

As long as she is in support of such a feature I will be in support of her not being a part of the game industry. She really has no place in it if she doesn't understand the importance of the interactive components of the medium.

BioWare isn't my favourite developer. There are a lot of better plots in other non-BioWare games which I enjoy. What I don't enjoy though is butthurt, people lacking common sense and more butthurt. It's people like you who make a bad name for people like us. You know, those of us who actually do like to give constructive criticism now and then and can do so as mature human beings.

The less we're dominated by males (even in our own gender titles!) the better.
