Oh but I do blame them and they deserve every inch of derision they get. Disliking a game or even feeling "betrayed by a franchise" doesn't justify the abuse particularly when people have been posting criques of the game for nearly a year now. They had a forum for constructive criticism and no one has been silencing their voices. It also doesn't justify harassment. Their actions were vile and deplorable and hurtful. She's earned a lot of dislike over Dragon Age 2's writing, of course they're going to call her out on it. It's the internet. You either grow a tougher skin or leave. Personally I'm not a fan of her work at all. Really don't think someone who doesn't play games should be writing for them.
Nobody should expect to be immune to criticism. This situation got out of hand, but you can't expect everyone to suck up to you.

This is the internet people. Yes, it's terrible that people are 'bullying' her and calling her names. But this is the internet where this happens on a daily basis. She shouldn't have let the trolls get to her and just deleted the account.
