First, I cannot imagine working as a writer for video games and NOT being privy to all the other parts. To do things separately is unbelievable to me.

Actually, it's pretty easy. Hell, look at the Lord of the Rings movies. Fran Walsh and Philipa Boynes never wrote the fight scenes, because they weren't crazy about them and didn't  know how to describe them. All they'd put in the scripts were "they fight" then Peter Jackson, the stunt crew and cast took over and it would turn into, in Ms. Boynes' words: "a twenty minute fight scene." The reverse is also true about the romantic scenes, as Peter handed them off to Fran and Philipa. Point is a writer is likely aware of the combat designers and what they do, it doesn't mean they KNOW.

Second, misogyny can be subtle and can be done by a woman. I will always be irked by her comments concerning motherhood and women gamers

Would this be the one about once her baby was born she wouldn't have a lot of time for gaming anyway? How the heck is that woman hating, it's the truth. After I gave birth to my first child my gaming was cut back substantially, table top, live action and CRPG, and MMO, based on the fact of things like finding a baby sitter, or in the CRPG case having to choose between watching the screen or giving the baby the time she needs. Sorry baby wins out, hands down, and not just because it's a "mom" or woman thing, the same thing happened with my husband as he was helping with the baby too. In fact I don't think either of use really got a chance to play table top or live action regularly for the first month. Add to that the fact that Ms. Hepler has a full time job, which from other interviews sounds like it comes home with her, makes finding time to even breath let alone find time to for one's self amazingly difficult.

Edit: Found and read the entire quote you're talking about, Slash, and in its context it makes you sound like some guy who's taken up the feminism banner because it's either cause celebre or to impress a girl. Me, on the other hand, being a mother of two, can say with some certainy that comes with experience that she's right. Being a parent is a job in and of itself, and it's not easy. On any given day I can't even have a converstion with my husband after the kids are supposed to be in bed, because they're getting up asking for more water, another story etc... Sometimes can't even go five minutes without an interruption in conversation. Thus why when I can steal time, and I manage to play something, I want it to be something I can play easily and pause easily to deal with kids issues when they come up (which can last up to twenty minutes at a pop some times), so major fights, even when paused, are a pain in the butt to get back to, and it's easy to forget what you were doing at the time, which can be death in combat. Thus why I used the "kill switch" cheat in the Infinity engine games a lot of the time.

In the end, calling Ms. Hepler's description of being a mom trying to fit gaming into a busy life doesn't express any hatred of women or mothers, but a general exeperience a lot of gaming moms (and I'd say the women with children here are really the first gamer mom generation) deal with.

This doesn't even go into things like budgetting money for games when having a family, dealing with issues of ratings and colorful metaphors parents don't want to have their nine years olds hear, and all the other amazing, annoying and wonderful complications of being a parent. In my not so humble opinion, what Jen Hepler says in regards to all the responsiblities one shoulders as a parent vs. playing extremely long games, where for some people combat is the least fun of the activites, shows responsibility as a parent, as much as it demonstrates the issues many gamers generally have with different pieces of a game.

Third, Anders is one of the most complained about characters in DA2. Who wrote him again?

Take out the people who loath DA2 on principle and you'll find Anders is contraversial due to his actions as much as "hated". I've seen a lot of people who enjoy him. Try to justify much?

Finally, I'll make no more remarks here. And while I support BW and the no bully process, and am against idiots gamers who can't make a civil argument, I still feel that both sides need to be shown.
Both sides of what? Bullying is not legitimate argument, and trying to pretend it is and justify people's actions is a load of horse dung. There is no "both sides" when someone is bullied anymore than any other vicious attack physical or mental.
