I'm glad to see this thread.
A couple of days ago I saw some thread in another site and I could not believe the despicable misogynistic crap some people allowed themselves to throw, cowardly attacking a J. Hepler the way they did. It was both disturbing and infuriating.
I hope she can get past this quickly and continue with her work in BW.

I don't like her writing nor do I think it's anything I'd personally consider good, in my opinion, however she still doesn't deserve the onslaught of hatred.

I'm not the other trolls by the way. I'm not saying Hepler deserved this, she didn't.

But I used to love Bioware, so I joined a Bioware forum.

It's not my fault you enjoy their hand-holding RPGs. Tell me child, ever play a CRPG? I thought so.

If I don't like someone's work I can go to a forum and people can criticize it. There will be pure fans, pure haters, constructive criticism... all of them with their own opinions and ways to express it. Fine, free speech on the internet is great. BUT personal attacks, harassment, cyberbullying is totally unnaceptable. I can't say I'm a fan of hers, cause honestly I'm not, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna hate or insult her. Those who do that kind of thing should feel ashamed and even as a non-fan I send all my support to Jennifer.

Comparing the writing of Baldurs Gate 2 was Biowares last good game. KOTOR 2 was a buggy mess and was still better written than the first.

Which Hepler did.

People called her out for being a bad writer. 

She then responded by saying that people are only targetting her because she is female.

People explained that this isn't the case. The issue is her total lack of talent, not her gender.

She continues to make her gender the focus of the argument. 

She's the one who brought her gender into this and made it an issue. My concern is that she is a bad writer, with bad ideas about not just story writing, but about video game design in general. Her idea of a fast forward button in video games would fundamentally ruin the integration of story and game play in video games.

I for one would like to represent the fine folks, the secret saviors, the dark heroes of the Internet when I say Hepler deserved the weight against her. We need to stop greasing up the truth that BioWare is all the worse for hiring her. She has weighed down the legacy and integrity of the company with bad writing and forced liberal propaganda. We at Reddit are DISGUSTED for such deliberate buttering of our youth's minds.

Shame on Hepler, she deserved most of what was served to her.

I never did understand how people could be judged on the types of games they play. You can play a game on HARDCORE GAMER MODE **** YEAH and you're still not cool in the real world. Sorry for not having the same opinion as everyone else =/ Bad me.

That's what I'm saying, lrn2readingcomprehension. Obsidian wrote a better story than Bioware with a smaller deadline and George Lucas constantly yelling at them.

The only good part of KOTOR was a the I AM REVAN twist.
