Why don't I see any new news in ME2?

Just log into my mass effect 2 game.  No new news updates are displayed

You can also go to cerberusdailynews.com, as we will be carrying updates there. Also, we have a comments section.

Sorry to be blunt, but is there any way we can filter out the fake fan-fiction entries from the real ones?

They seem to have a second archive set...

http://www.cerberusd...news.com/?cat=1

is listed as the offical news archive.

This looks to be the where you can get the oldest offical post, dated 1/29/10
http://www.cerberusd...?cat=1&paged=37

Why are there stories for February 2012? Is that a fan website?

I don't see the update when I log in to ME2. If I sign in to the Cerberus network, it just gives me the notice from last year about the official updates ending. Also, the "new" update doesn't seem to be posted at the Mass Effect wiki, which always posted them in the past.

I've been handling most of the front page at www.cerberusdailynews.com for the past few months. I'd like to post the official updates when they run, but I need to be able to see them somewhere first.

Yes. The role players at Cerberus Daily News contributed their own stories to keep things going. You can tell by the fact that they're tagged "unofficial news."

I wrote a significant number of the front page stories and story arcs myself. Gave me a whole new respect for all of the great official news that Bioware came up with on a daily basis.

I got the impression that the ME2 and twitter updates will be the same.

Nothing new here in england though i assume all regions are updated at the same time.
Any word from Mr Chris? Knowing this community they'll start burning effigies before to long and then there'll be no stopping them.

Yeah, I think we should remember to be patient.

I'm not upset or anything. I just really like the official CDN updates, and would like to see the last two weeks of them - and repost them on our fan site for role playing purposes.

Bioware really did do a good job with the CDN updates. They added a lot of flavor to the Mass Effect universe.

Still no new CDN reports. I'll check again next hour.

Maybe the update won't roll out until midnight Edmonton time?

That's awesome, I'm guessing it isn't considered canon though.

No new updates. The twitter feed has an interesting preview, though it seems incomplete. and possibly rushed.

Maybe BioWare is still typing the reports up? I heard somewhere that ME2 downloads a few weeks worth of reports at a time. Could be they're waiting for all of them to be finished so they can upload them and be done with it.

And the Twitter preview has me psyched. It ties in with the CDN report from July 5, 2010.

...Because setting up the feed on bioware.com is so much work, so let's use some annoying obtrusive "social" crap instead.

It's 1:11 am Eastern Standard and still nothing. I'll check one last time in an hour before giving up for the night.

That's not the nature of Cerberus Daily News or the Alliance News Network.

So, off topic, I think you're stuck with what you have for making choices from ME1. My advice, buy the game for your PC.

Nothing at 2 am Eastern Standard.

I just know the update's going to happen at some ungodly hour this morning.

We are 2 weeks from the launch of Mass Effect 3 and this marks the return of the Alliance News Network updates. Starting today you will see the new updates when you play Mass Effect 2. Also now, you can get the Alliance News Network updates through Twitter at https://twitter.com/...llianceNewsNet

Make sure you check the feeds regularly to get your updates from the Alliance News Network. :)

What kind of logistical hurdles are there to also making it available through the ME3 demo?

Yes, it's more along the lines of fan fic. It's not canon. I'd be surprised if anyone at Bioware even reads it.

Twitter just gives us the headline, not the acutal article. I'd like to see the actual substance.

Twitter headlines? That's it?? I thought the news updates started daily as of 2 weeks till release which was yesterday and there's nothing on either ANN or CDN or game menu news for ME2.,
