The news is on the bioware blog. Check it all out here: http://blog.bioware..../alliance_news/

The news is not on the blog as it hasn't been updated since last Friday and we're supposed to be getting daily updates at this point, not occasional ones that are pretty pointless (stolen/found New Years Eve Ball on the Citadel), its 9 days before the release.

Also, it doesn't make sense from an immersion standpoint to funnel Alliance News Network feeds to the Cerberus Daily News feed in ME2. Unless there will be a spot online with the ANN perspective and a heavily edited version on CDN since TIM wouldnt want us to know whats really going on.

Its my understanding the content of alliance news isn't going to be classified military reports but the regular kind of stuff you find on a news network, just like the stuff we had on the CDN, calling then alliance or cerberus is more of a perspective thing than directly related to the content, your working for cerberus so you had your daily galactic news from a cerberus news network and and so on alliance.

Been playing ME all week and still nothing. Kinda disappointed after finishing Deception. Now that name is starting to fill more fitting for this period in the ME franchise.

Did they forget how to do it after a year?

Maybe BioWare should just focus on games and stop with the novels, comics, news posts, T-shirts, mugs, replica of weapons, statues, spin-off games (ME: Galaxy), and additional DLC.

Just focus on making one fully-featured game and end it right there. Sorry, but it is just starting to seem they are becoming out of their depth. Side effect of EA? I dunno.

I just want promises to be kept and content to be polished.

I was hoping that if nothing else, they would give us two weeks of news on the trial and tensions with the Batarians after Arrival as a bridge to the beginning of ME3 ... since they seem to have taken all that out of the game.

Even the news on CDN, which is unofficial, has more relevence even in a general way than the twitter feeds we were seeing.

BIoware was supposed to be doing just that, it was one of the big things they were pushing at the end of ME2 before the DLC's started coming out. 1 week of updates before the DLC's and then 2 weeks before the release of ME3. I know that had me excited when February hit, but it seems that like the trial, the updates have been pushed aside :(

I see one tweet with a description of news, and that's it for two days.

What happened to this? Did the person who knew how to update the Cerberus Daily News in ME2 leave the company and forget to tell anyone else how to do it?

Agreed.  This distinct lack of any communication (heck they even stopped updating the BioWare Blog) is unacceptable.  Also, isn't the lack of CDN updates a breach of contract?  I thought the Terms of Service specified 30 days notice before termination of services.

**EDIT**
Ah, here it is.  Section 9, paragraph 1 of the Terms of Service states:

EA may terminate access to any  online or mobile products and/or EA
Services (and/or any portion thereof) at any time by giving you notice
of such termination within the time period specified when you joined the
particular EA Service, or if no time period for notice of termination
was specified, then within thirty (30) days of the date such notice is
either (at EA’s discretion) provided to you via email or is posted on
the applicable product or EA Service or on
http://www.ea.com/2/service-updates.

Also note that Mass Effect 2 is not listed on the webpage mentioned in the quote above.

Chris said he had the team looking into it. It's possible that fixing this was pushed to the wayside by all of the commotion leading to ME3's launch. I can't really fault BioWare for that, I'll take ME3 over a handful of fictional news blurbs any day, but I'm starting to wonder if we'll be getting the new reports at all.  Even the Twitter account for ANN stopped providing new daily headlines.

Tis very short indeed. At least its working hopefully we will get a little more from now on, just like it used too. Still perhaps a hint there may be something interesting on Garvag - well apart from a lot of dead insurgents/freedom fighters?

It is actually a big fail when Bioware themselves creates a sticky page to announce something that they end up NOT doing...

Okay, I understand now. The short twitter updates are what they're doing instead of the larger daily articles.

www.cerberusdailynews.com has posted all three of the recent updates, and from this point forward will post the short updates daily, now that we know what's going on. We will also continue to post the larger ANN updates from the Bioware Blog whenever they post them.

I was originally thinking about posting the "tweets" once a week, sort of as a digest, but the site administer and I both thought it would be better to continue with daily updates as long as Bioware does them.

That is a shame.  It is hard to say anything meaningful in 140 characters.  Seriously, would you have understood the references to the New Year's Eve ball or Garvag if not for the earlier, longer news announcements?

That is a shame. Not all of us Tweet, nor do we want to.
