That said, we do have the once a week ANN news updates on the Bioware Blog. Hopefully they'll continue doing those, as they have a little more meat than the tweets. They're even longer than the original CDN stories.
I also think we should look at it this way: Would you rather have Bioware focused on writing fake news stories, or doing what they need to do with ME3?
In a way, I honestly can't say I blame them. I wrote a LOT of stories for the CDN fan site over the past year. It's a real challange to come up with enough stories to fill every day, and it's even tougher for Bioware since anything they write is cannon and expected to be high quality. I have a lot of respect for their efforts with writing Mass Effect news, and, really, I'm willing to take whatever we can get.

frylock23, I agree. Twitter is a garbage website. A child could make it easier to navigate! So why would I sign up for it? And why do I have to sign up for it to see such short messages? They literally only have to transmit a few bytes of information per page. Not gigabytes, or megabytes, or kilobytes. Bytes. Less than one kilobyte. Maybe 1 kilobyte with formatting.
Chris, can you guys post up the news updates we missed, please?

We are 2 weeks from the launch of Mass Effect 3 and this marks the return of the Alliance News Network updates. Starting today you will see the new updates when you play Mass Effect 2. Also now, you can get the Alliance News Network updates through Twitter at https://twitter.com/...llianceNewsNet
Make sure you check the feeds regularly to get your updates from the Alliance News Network.
But when Mass Effect 3 is finally released; will we get Daily News uploads, like we use to on the Cerberus Daily News?

Odd thing aobut the ANN in ME2: they're put up one day at a time (I guess when they come in to work). Right now, I have absolutely no message related to the CNN/ANN; only four related to DLC.

You don't have to sign up for twitter to read the messages. Just follow the link posted on the first page of this thread. You should be able to read the ANN tweets regardless of whether you have an account or not.
Or, if you really do dislike Twitter that much, you could routinely check one of the sites that reposts them.
At the Cerberus Daily News fan site, we have started reposting the tweets, and we will continue reposting the Bioware Blog updates, for the role playing purposes of our community. The Mass Effect Wiki has also decided to repost the ANN tweets. So, you have two good options right there.

No, you can't. I know because I tried. If I hadn't tried, I wouldn't have said those specific words. :-P And again, no those specific updates haven't been reposted on any of the usual sites (at least when I last checked, yesterday). That is probably they were only headlines, not articles.

Huh. That's odd.
When I click on the twitter link, it does take me to a sign up page at first. But if I just wait, it automatically sends me to a page where I can see the tweets.

They're up now.
I personally posted the updates to the Cerberus Daily News front page. Go to the site and check on the second most recent article. Heck, I'll even throw in a link to the article. I know for a fact that they're up at the Mass Effect wiki, because that's where I copied them from.
What you see there is excatly what's posted on the ANN Twitter feed. And, in case you are confused, this is the new format for ANN/CDN news updates. Bioware confirmed this fact with the new administrator at the Cerberus Daily News fansite. And the Garvug story, as posted on Twitter, is excactly what showed up when people started up ME2 on Friday.
If you want meater in universe news updates, you still have the weekly Bioware Blog ANN articles, at least.

DWH, as far as Twitter goes, even if I wait it stays on the sign up/login page. Nothing can be done there I guess. But thanks for putting up the short headlines from the last few days. You might want to link them to their appropriate days, or else getting to those might be hard once it falls off the front page. Thanks for putting work into that site.
Thanks, I appreciate it. Though lately I haven't been doing much except copying what Bioware posts.
Not sure why the heck you can't get to twitter, but I'm going to try my best to update the fan site in a timely fashion. So, keep checking there.
The new administrator is exploring some ideas for changing the front page, and sometime after ME3 is released, likely a month or so, we will also begin posting fan updates again. For the time being, we will just focus on the Bioware official updates.

There's already a report posted for tomorrow in ME2. None for today, but as soon as change your date to Feb. 27, there's the report. It looks like we only get reports on weekdays, and even then only sporadically.
Wow. Just read tomorrow's. Definitely foreshadowing!

Can I hope for a update on more ME1 choices in the PS3 versionof ME2 aside the comic??
That's not the nature of Cerberus Daily News or the Alliance News Network.
So, off topic, I think you're stuck with what you have for making choices from ME1. My advice, buy the game for your PC.
I own it for PC and ME 2 its just I don't like how I have to "have" origins to play ME 3 on PC but o well so looking forward to the game on PS3!
