I spent ages trying to avoid the DLC character spoiler. I didn't even click on this link, then I website I frequent which has adverts of other wbesites linked at the bottom featured this.

The DLC squadmate has no influence on the plot whatsoever, his main function/selling point is first hand exposition and dialog.

Your game isn't ruined because you don't get him. You're missing a cool squadmate and a lot of lines.

So you know how "significant" this dlc is? So you must have already played the game then right? No? Didn't think so.
If you didn't get Zaeed or kasumi you missed out on missions, their loyalty missions. How do you know if the mission you miss is his/her loyalty mission, or whatever they are in 3

If you don't want to pay for the full N7 collector's edition or couldn't get hold of one they are giving you the opportunity to pay for it separately.

No it wasnt, the same thing happen with Zaeed... (he was originally only announced with the CE to build up sales faster).


@Starkiller by significant i mean its a huge dlc, 600mb. thats not a simple weapon pack or armor.

All i am saying is that you did miss out on missions if you didn't get Zaeed or Kasumi as well.

You could say that about every squadmate in ME 2 (especially Legion).  We really only needed Miranda, Jacob, Mordin, and one or two others.  Just because they can make something DLC and charge another $10 doesn't mean they should, again, especially if this is something that was taken out of the game in the first place.

And to those saying "well it was supposed to be part of the CE..." please.  If that was their thought process behind it, then they would have been marketing that like crazy.

Now as far as spoilers go, there were several in here I was trying to avoid but were posted anyway, namely the amount of squadmates we'll have and a certain someone I never would have expected.  Thanks for that.

Not really. All those characters had specific quests on top of simply the one they were acquired in.

I didn't look at the size. But from what I heard he/she isnt half-assed like zaeed and kasumi. Maybe thats why its bigger? But the fact still remain that they most likely doesn't offer anything absolutley vital to the game. If they do then it is wrong

Since this is confirmed, my not buying this game on release is also confirmed. A shame.
