not everyone necessarily has an online connection to their game console.
That should be a greater concern than game DLC if that's the case.
Just saying.

Why are you assuming he is so important? If he was vital to the game then he would be in the game. He is a perk to those that bought the collector's edition. I fully support extra perks for the collectors edition, after all if you are buying it then you are paying more, therefore; you deserve extra content. Now if the extra content is absolutly vita to the game then i think its wrong. But i doubt he is and probably only provides more insight to various thingsEterna5 wrote...

This is absolutely preposterous. A Prothean squad member, a PROTHEAN squad member, DLC.
My respect for Bioware dwindles. If it was just another human like Kasumi I wouldn't even care, but it's a freaking prothean! How could they charge extra for something so important!?

Shouldn't this, at the very least be the incentive for buying new, instead of for the CE?
Sebastian was one thing, a Prothean........
Whatever, I'm buying the CE anyway, I'm such a sucker.

This time project $10 is the online pass for MP. This way second hand users will have to pony up $20. Yay for EA

it's funny that you'll spend 60+ on a game without question, but the moment they as for 10 dollars for an optional squad member, suddenly game companies are corrupt money grubbers.
Oh the irony.
I think that is the whole point of the anger for some. To some people $60 is a lot of money and they feel like it should be included in the game since it's such a high priced DLC. I ordered the CE, so I am not concerned, but I can understand the anger some feel. They pay $60 and want a complete game. You can certainly see their side of it, no?

just because he is a prothean doesn't mean he is an all powerful god that will wave his hands at the reapers and banish them away to oblivion for the rest of eternity, every one seems to think this giving all the outrage over them. He is one character.PsychoWARD23 wrote...

There's a reason for keeping him as DLC.
He's a pro rasta
Honestly, I had no idea all protheans originated from Africa/Jamaica.

Protheans don't sound like Africans... the decendants of the first humans sound like Protheans. Hence the Pyramids in Africa. Get my drift?

A race we have never technically seen in the series, the most fabled race in the universe, and he's just "some character"?STARKILLER423 wrote...

So, a living member whos species was very technologically advanced and who is from the previous cycle is not important? Nah I guess Shepard doesn't need him right? What would he know?

So people want this DLC to be free and included in the main game? I'm only glad they're releasing more DLC even if i have to pay 10 bucks for it. Seriously people hate for everything.
Do you realize how stupid you sound?

How exactly did they do that? Becaused they figured out the reapers exsisted? Because they stopped the keepers and gave us a warning? Not exactly super all powerful gods. Sure they were more advanced than other races have been come the time of the cycle but nothing that special. Besides you are talking about the Prothean race as a whole. Many scentists were involved in everything the protheans have done. This is ONE prothean, just one. If the protheans descovered a way to defeat the reapers it was the ones that are long since dead, not the one we get for a squad mate.Eterna5 wrote...

ME2 and DAO (though it was a bit different from ME2) did the right thing in my opiniowith Zaeed and Shale. ME3 and DA2, not so much.
Well, at least this dlc squadmate will not destroy my PC's defence.

Posté 22 février 2012 - 12:07
Uhhh because he's a prothean. ME's lore foundation was the protheans, ME2 has you fighting mutant protheans. Doesn't matter if he isn't a scientist & just a soldier, he's still has great knowledge regarding the past that's shrouded be mystery. In other words, he's important regardless what people say.STARKILLER423 wrote...

I really... really hope that's true. It would really give me someone to talk to on the Normandy that's probably doing exactly what I'm doing when I play Mass Effect. We enjoy the same herbs and spices. Plus, it would be funny considering how many dislikes that video has.
Yah mon, big ups.

No, I'm talking about Prothean technology being the reason so many sentient species where able to traverse space. Like how humans found prothean technology on mars and it shot there technology ahead hundreads of years. The prothean himself is not important, what he represents is.
