Look at it this way, not many ppl wanted the prothean squadmate. Many were against it due to the fact of conserving the legacy of the protheans of making the conduit and the alteration of the keepes and putting a prothean squadmate in mass effect would be ridicules. Not to mention the fact that nothing can survive 50,000 years of statis. If ppl dont want prothy they have a right to choice to have him in your story or not. p.s i am not defending Bioware.

Yes

It was the same with ME2. I think the total cost of all the DLC for that game was around $60.

800ms points for 1 damn character? I mean i know i waited a bit late to order the CE and totally missed my chance..but 10 dollars? Is there a mini quest involved? or are we just handed the team member? I thought it was supposed to be for CE only. and on top of what everyone else is saying about adding a prothean team member...like really what the hell? Theres this hole story about how they where wiped out, where the hell did this guy come from.

Reapers: ok we wiped out the entire prothean species! lets go back to dark space gaiz!

Seriously, WHY THE ****, is such a major thing as a live Prothean a piece of DLC? Are you actually trying to make people hate you as much as possible at this point, Bioware?

^This x1,000. This character isn't like Zaeed or Kasumi, it is a lot like Legion, but even more unexpected.

I mean it is a Bloody PROTHEAN.....a PROTHEAN. We know so little about them it is like a Mystery. 
Imagine how many Questions could be answered with him.  How much a great Character this could turn out to be.  How to defeat the Reapers or some weaknesses they could have? And it is not even in the full game.....this just baffles me.

I hate day one DLC if it is there all ready to be played make it free DLC, or even better just put it into the game. I love DLC great way to expand on a game,(LOTSB) but is it to much to ask to put day one DLC into the game?

I don't think anyone with the Prothean on their side will have a problem convincing the Hanar in helping out Earth... They probably wouldn't have a problem convincing all the hanar to stand on one tentacle while whistling dixie.

not quite, in me2 we got Zaeed, fire walker, and the few little things for free if we bought the game new. granted the cerberus pass was $15 if u bought it used, so i guess its not that big of a jump but its just a shame that even if you buy the standard edition new u still have to pay $10 to get prothy. 

So really its more like what they did with sabastion in DA2 (cept prothy cost $3 more dollars).

what a dick move. regardless of peopel wanting the Prothean or not,
it shouldn't be "you buy it if you want it and don't buy it if you don't want it"
it should be "it's in the game. you decide whether you recruit the thing or not".

so for people who want him it's either
$10 for a day 1 DLC
$20 more to get the Collector's Edition

either way, we have to pay more on top of a $60 game? what kind of an ass move is this?
