Something as important as a living Prothean was instead shoved into a DLC for more money instead of just being epic and including it in the full game? That is utterly bull#$@&, and nothing has made me very pissed at all about this game until now.
exactly. and Bioware does this becaue people tolerate it. is it so hard to understand that if everyone complains instead of compliments, Bioware would be forced to give this for free?
we dictate the fate of this game and it's so sad peopel do not realize that.

Dont get me wrong I completely understand where you are coming from. I am just saying that I think It is fine to include a non-essential squad member as DLC or exclusive content in the collectors edition. I am basing my assumptions that he doesn't have a major role in the story, and just adds little things. Most are crying foul because the Protheans were such a major part of the lore. But those Protheans have already done everything that they planned. This is just one single Prothean. I don't know if you saw my either posts where I was trying to explain that this Prothean could not be as important as they are making it out to be. If not you can search back to see my points. When I say insight I just mean something from the view point of a Prothean. Like maybe he remembers something about the citadel and comments on it if you take him there.KBomb wrote...

But Im not saying he is an integral squadmember. Just that he offers extra insight and a few extra dialogue options if you have him as the squadmember. If he is super important as a squad memeber and they cut him and offer him for DLC is what I would have a problem with.
I understand, but once down that road it could open up path that I don't think many would want to go down. For example, Liara. I am not sure how important her role is to the main plot. What if they said,
“She is still in the game, but doesn't have an important role. So you can have her for a squadmember so she can offer more dialog and insight—but you'll have to pay for that privilege.” Just seems a shady sort of practice. Of course, this is all based on rumor and I know that. I was just using this for the sake of discussion.

last time i checked games from 10, 15, 20, 25 years ago included all characters, all levels, all cheats, all costumes, all maps, EVERYTHING.

how about we get it all, and then if you two people want to pay them $10 for including it there in the disc then pay them. isn't that the same thing? the stuff is already in the disc, anyways.

funny how you think im buying every piece of dlc because im NOT.
unlike you i know how to rationalise and decide whats best for me and my money
the reason why i bought the collectors edition was for the extra armors and the prothean and to me thats more bang for my buck, and most likely the armors will be a dlc pack on live and psn seeing as i hit it on the head regarding the prothean and his mission.
maybe if you take the time and look up what i said regarding the mass effect universe artbook from barnes and nobel you will see i said multiple times i am not paying 27 dollars for just a gun dlc.
call me a butt kissing bioware loving fanboy all you want because i know myself better than you ever will

or how about, you know, what Criterion did with Burnout Paradise when they released almost all DLCs including new vehicles, maps, gameplay tweaks, etc. for FREE?
i find it funny how you imply that Mass Effect is not as bad as those above series which just means ME is being milked, but not as much. how about we try for the NOT being milked category?

We aren't the ones ****ing about it. You don't like it? Don't buy it. It really is that simple. Obiviously people that don't mind buying it are in the majority since developers keep selling DLC. Besides No where it that post did either of us indicate what we think about it. You assumed we were for it. Go read my other posts, I stated my opinion rather clearly when I thought it was ok and when I thought it was wrong. DLC is optional you don't know how important this prothean is (which I also discussed a few pages back).rumbalumba wrote...

funniest thing ever.
you know what's the most bang for your buck? not an $80 "collector's edition" with unlocked content, but a $60 game with ALL content packed in there.

But not every one feels this way. Are you also ready to tolerate the other side? Or are they just Bioware defenders that are stupid and wrong? Not saying that you believe this of course but most people on this forum attack others for different points of view.WeWant wrote...

The collector's edition is supposed to have extra content, thats the reason it costs more, be it in game or physical. With the CE You actually get quite a bit for 20 bucks more, which is the reason I pre-ordered it. If you don't feel that way than just get the standard edition.rumbalumba wrote...

Personal responsibility when making the decision whether or not to purchase a product, clearly a biodrone. Wait drones exercise personal responsibility.

Then let's debate this like civilised persons. You are the one trying to kill every understanding between the two sides of the opinion with your "DONT LIKE DAT DONT BUY DAT LOL."
So? It's not permited to not buy the DLC and complain about the policy at the same time?
You know, things are not as simple as "don't buy it lol"
