less than $60 - used, no MP, not the full game

$60 - no Prothean, not the full game

$70-$80 - most likely the FULL game

$90-$120 - FULL game with EXTRA content

so is $80 the new $60? ROFL.
and $90 is the new $80? oh god.

They didnt tell us the squad member was a Prothean. The way they passed it off, they acted as if it was another Zaeed. Hell, it couldve been Zaeed! Protheans are such a big part of the story. It needs to be apart of the main game.

It wasn't ripped out - It was an incentive to spend an extra $20 on the CE.  Now people can get it for $10.  If anyone should be mad, it should be people who purchased the CE.

I think the Art book and soundtrack could cover most the exra price before DLC

Indeed, the art book would probably be worth around $10 on it's own, and the soundtrack would probably be in the $13-15 range. That's not even taking into account the N7 weapons, the bonus skins, the robot dog, etc.

CE customers (including myself) are already getting $20 worth of extra stuff without this DLC taken into account. It would go a long way to reestablish trust in Bioware to release it free for all new copies. As said before, I've already paid off my CE, so I know I will have the content free, but I can still sympathize with those who are getting milked.

And in truth, it is up to us to make our opinions known, since we don't really have a powerful consumer watchdog to keep the industry honest on our behalf.

Not sure how you're calculating this. I'm getting the CE for PC (in Canada) and I'm pretty sure it only costs $75-80. $120 would only be if you're getting it off Ebay or something..

I'm not mad. I'm paying that extra $20 for what is included as a whole not just the DLC. I want everything in it not just one thing. Those who just want the DLC character have plenty of time to down-grade their pre-order before the game launches.

Again, for me it's not about how important the DLC is for the main story or if it was known or not beforehand... it's about the principle of stuff that has been developed at the same time that the game has, being sold to me for extra money... say the cut out the companions from the release of skyrim and sell it for 10$ on release... is it important to have it? no... will the game feel complete without it? yes... but should companies divert resources away from the main project to make extra money... absolutely not...
and if someone says "well they are DLC devs"... so what... they only know how to code DLCs and are not capable of working on the main project? They know how to generate a DLC mountain but when it's a main mission mountain their brain stops working?

Something about an Audio file, I think it was.
But that could mean the content was already in the game, you just download the file to unlock it.

Taking a squad member out of the game so that you have to pay $20 extra for the Collector's Edition = ripping content out of the game

You can thank the current console generation and publishers like Activision for that. But it looks like that EA is trying to retake its crown from Actvision for "Biggest **** Publisher".

It's actually something like $800 to get the "full" game if you want to buy garbage figurines to get DLC that should be in the main game.

I dont remember someone mentioning a Prothen Squad Memeber in the leaked script.
But if that's where its from, it might be valid.
Problem is, you can't 100% trust anything on the internet.

Not sure how you're calculating this. I'm getting the CE for PC (in Canada) and I'm pretty sure it only costs $75-80. $120 would only be if you're getting it off Ebay or something..

that $90-$120 will be the total cost of the FULL ME3 game plus FUTURE DLCs.

so im accounting for the future. instead of paying $80 for a game plus DLCs like we did in the not-so-far past, now we'll be paying $90 or more.

The day one or day zero dlc now cost money? Unless you buy the Collector's Edition that is.

I thought that Bioware and EA's idea behind free day one dlc was to get people to buy the game quickly and to prevent -ehm- people making illegal copies of the game. (just info this is).

Isn't this effectively the same thing as what happened with Sebastian (that was his name, right?) in Dragon Age II? Except in that case there was a big promotion to boost one's preorder of the game up to Signature status for a while.

You're getting that value in the online pass for the co-op portion.   I'm sure that will be $10 for those who buy used.
