What guns/powers/classes/races would you like to have balanced?

 Hey!

If you are one of those people who will just comment "It's a co-op game, it doesn't need balancing! Just use something else if it's OP!", then please leave, we don't want you here. :)

After playing through Gold multiple times, there are a few things I'd like to see changed:

The Carnifex pistol is too good, it's like a hand held sniper rifle. Reduce its damage and lower the rate of fire.

Stasis should be like it was in ME1; it will make the person unable to do anything, but will be invulnerable to damage in the process. 

At the moment, a full team Asari adepts each with a carnifex pistol, can EASILY beat gold. No enemy has a chance... Phantoms get stasis'd and headshotted, and Atlases go down with biotic explosions + cobra missile launchers.

I'm gonna try to solo gold tommorrow with this build, and tell you how it goes. ^_^

Anyone else have something they'd like to have balanced?

My only concern in the builds I have played so far is between the different races of the same class. My current favorite character is the engineer. I also love quarians, however, the turret is not nearly as good as the autonomous drone of the other races.

It either needs to be much more durable as it only lasts a few seconds, or perhaps mobile. Its spawning also seems to be erratic. I would almost prefer a hovering turret that just followed behind me or above my head.

carnifex if perfect as is its RoF is a little fast but whatever. Only thing really wrong with it is the accuracy of it with a scope.

Never seen a Quarian Engineer before, I thought they had the same turret that the AI combat Engineers use? Good to know they don't! :D

I'd say buff all of the other guns, carnifex is strong but that's only because the other weapons are God awful.

Stasis, maybe only allow biotic explosion? I mean right now it's like free headshot vill.

That's pretty much my opinion. The guns need to be fixed before release, seriously.

Too early.

We don't even have access to all weapons. You could end up buffing something and in the process make a weapon you haven't tried obsolete.

I mean that thing is literally the worse weapon I have ever used in any game ever.

I find that most SMG's are quite bad (Have got most of them on X), even the gold one (Hornet, I think it was called).

Soldiers seem kind of useless in MP. They should give them some ammo types and remove the team ability in them for MP

Krogan Soldier is incredible. Not sure about human.

I wish... that would be great!   No, the turret is this little tiny thing about the size of a SMG, that floats in the air.     You also toss it out like a grenade, so with bouncing and such it doesn't end up quite where you want it.    That might just take more practice on my part though.  

The biggest problem is its survivability.   The regular combat drone doesn't do much damage, but can keep several enemies stunned around it.    The turret can only target one enemy and enemies seem to target and destroy it very quickly.

Pistols in general are too accurate when being used in rapid fire. The ease of landing multiple headshots at range ramps there effective damage up too high vs the other weapon classes. That's really the major issue with pistols.

Adrenaline Rush needs a buff. It's a really bad skill set and drags the solider down with it.

Stasis needs to be looked at, I think bubble should be removed to make Asari 1v1 CCers and not AoE CC gods like current.

The Viper feels weak, but maybe with a few more levels it will find it's niche. But it feels outright worse than the fex in every way. I know the fex is gold, but so is the revenant and I don't feel the revenant beats the avenger in every way shape and form.

I've not been able to try vanguards because I fall through the floor all the time.

I think the cloak duration needs to be reduced.

Yeah, the Revenant is not up to gold standards. The Avenger beats it in every way except in clip size.

Drell Vanguard needs a buff. 300 shield is not acceptable at all.

I will admit to misplaying my Human soldier [badly??] but they sure "feel" outclassed compared to either other race's Soldiers or specific other classes.

For example a Human Soldier with reasonably light weapons that spams Concussive Blast is nothing compared to a Human Adept with Singularity or an Asari Adept. Other classes can also do reasonable [better?] crowd control so this niche is a dead end before it starts.

The same as above but spamming AR won't help much because without the time diolation aspect it is just underwhelming in terms of damage. If you try the "tanking" options of AR you'll not match Krogans or most Sentinels so why bother here.

If you make a Soldier as a walking weapons platform [I.E. concentrate on weapons instead of powers] they will get outclassed by other builds that just do weapons better like any Infiltrator / Turian Sentinel / etc.

As far as I can tell even trying to find a niche there's always a race/class combo that easily outstrips what the Human Soldier can do in that niche.

I agree that stasis obviously needs a nerf and the soldier is useless, but the other classes seem fairly balanced. I would love to see the soldier be able to choose an ammo type (Incendiary or Disruptor or Cryo) but also be able to share with the squad, albeit with reduced damage for teammates. The main problem in the demo is weapon balancing. SMGs are inferior to pistols at every range and weigh slightly more and Assault rifles also seem to lack any punch. Pistols shotguns and sniper rifles are good as they are, the other weapons just need to be buffed to match them.

I can get 75 kills with my soldier in every match i play and last longer than most krogan players. My soldier is a lvl 20 human with avenger x and a phalanx with the human soldier you have to use the frags as much as possible.

Prox Mine seems a little off, if you ask me. It just doesn't seem to trigger unless the enemy actually steps on it. Last I knew, that's not what proximity mines do.

-The claymore need some sort of buff (its too damn heavy).
-I think the drell need to do something special if their gonna be that squishy, pull and cluster grenade don't seem worth it to me.
-Adrenalin rush definitely needs something to make it worth the power slot, I'm thinking a movement speed buff and some built-in damage resistance to make up for the lack of time slow.
-I don't think using tech armor explosion is ever worth it, but that could just be how I built my tech armor (or maybe it's just me).
-The Locust and the Hornet definitely need a damage buff and recoil reduction respectively.

I actually love the quarian turret better than the drone. At least I can aim the throw of my turret, the drone often just ends up spawning in my face.

I don't think stasis needs a nerf either. Asari adepts tend to be squishy. Take away their offense and they become a useless class.

Only thing I can think of is some of the weapons need to be fixed.

Yes, some of those smg's got more kick than a shotgun. I agree with that.

I agree with a lot of the sentiment above. It's not that the Carni is that OP, it's that most of the weapons are VERY lacking compared to ability usage on silver/gold. They just don't do enough damage in a short period of time. I can stay in cover and spam abilities that rip off defenses or CC people allowing me to easily kill them with a few headshots from my Carni, or I can plink at them with other weapons (the only powerful ones of which have massive reload times after every shot).

Carrying heavy or multiple weapons, and the accompaning weight gain and power cooldown increase, just is not worth it. Powers are just too powerful in comparison, either they need to be nerfed a bit, or weapons need a buff.

I do think (even though it's my main) that Charge -> Nova combo with the correct talents and just a Carni is crazy powerful, as is Bubble Stasis and triple chain Overload with just a Carni.

Unfortunately SMG's and Assault rifles just can't compete because you have to fire for longer (thus be in danger of getting shot AT longer) to do the same amount of damage, even if the actual DPS is the close to the same. They are just inferior weapons at the moment.



Oh and the guy above talking about frags, that only works on Bronze, on Silver/Gold Frags don't really do all that much, and you'll have to use your weapons a lot more.
