I can see it already, MP hasnt even been live for 5 days and people will drop the game if your N7 rank isnt up to par with what who they want to play.

- no communication, they dont ask you anything. They dont see how the match goes, they dont use the mic, they dont attempt to strategize before the match at all to compensate for a lower lvl player. They just leave.

- This is anything above bronze, btw....bronze is a cakewalk with a competant team its starting to bore me. But anytime i get into a silver round a get messages to leave because my N7 is only 25 and my Inflitrator is lvl 15. They seem completely uninterested in attempting to strategize or even think outside the box and assume that a player is decent until proven otherwise. And if i dont leave guest what happens? "Host layer has left"

-If people get downed its my fault for being, a low lvl. When they die its my fault for not rezzing.

I do everthing in my power to support the team, but imma need these people to learn to communicate. I know its not everyone, its just starting to get more frequent. I hope its not because of the time i play otherwise NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Anyone have these types of matches?

Nope.

Only problem I get is players not having enough teamwork to survive Silver.

Nope. I was late to the demo (I've only been playing it for 3 days or so now), but I was playing silver with an N7 rank of 10 on a level 10 Vanguard. Never got a message to leave, and no one left when they saw my level.

However, its true not alot of people use mics. I'm actually one of them. It's only a slight problem unless you're playing on Gold it seems. I've done Silver fully maybe 3 times with a team that had no mics. If you have an understanding of whats going on, you know what has to happen to win the match. It isn't super strategic this early on with only two maps... everyone has their own routine and it generally works if they aren't playing wildly. But I'd wager that given time, more people will use mics. I see it evolving kinda like GoW3 horde did. Once it's released in full and a steady community builds instead of people just downloading it for fun without ever having played before like it seems with the demo.

People keep leaving when I try to level up people I don't use often, even though my N7 rating is a 50.

OP. When you search a gold game and you get matched with 2x rank 1 & a rank 1.
Then im not a bad part of the community for leaving that game.
If you dont follow this general line:
bronze 1-10
Silver 10-17
Gold 17-20

Then the chances of succesfully completing the mission is in danger. I have no idea how good you are, so at least i have to know your levels and weapons are up to par.

You dont let 150 kg people join the army and then make them do a navy seal mission do you? No you recruit the right people for the job. If you dont understand people thing like that, i guess you are just a player who wanna get boosted by better players.

Peace.

Ps: about the mics, some dont use them, and that is indeed sad, but thats the same in most other games, without a mic i would not be able to lead a team, and thats how i win, i lead. But others just wanna play casually and dont really go to deep in effort, or maybe just shy or poor. Who knows :D

So, invite them back. It happened to me today: I'm N7 118 and asking in a silver lobby (N7 20-45) if anyone got a mic. They remained silent, and I left. Shortly after that level 20ish guy invites me in an XBL party, saying he's looking for some decent co-op play. Dominoed into my other N7 70's and 115s buddies joining the action. We crushed silver, everyone had a good time and now there's another good player on my XBL friends list.

Taking the initiative can lead to interesting results.

PS: You have to agree that a mic is beneficial to smooth gameplay. Without a visual target marking system, it is the only way to ensure focused fire on priority targets. Teams that work magically and autonomously without voice comm are rare.

N7 doesn't indicate skill, just all the levels spread out across your characters. I've run into several people with high N7 levels who just plain sucked. I played in one game, all with people above the rank of 50 and on high level characters who all were frankly terrible. When it came time to do the hacking objective, all 3 of them ran outside the ring and derped around. The human engineer never deployed combat drones or used his powers properly. The krogan soldier sat back and used his Widow, which he consitently missed with. The drell vanguard was the best of them, but that's not saying much. He actually used his Schmitar well, but was very reckless and charged directly into enemy squads to get knocked down. So just goes to show, high N7 rank doesn't mean they'll be good. Just try to stick together and hope for the best.

1. Nope, I don't own a mic. And playing a gold match with an N7-12 isn't going to fly. Obviously. The game is harder than people think. I'm not going to waste my time with someone who doesn't even know how to play Vanguard ME3-style versus ME2 style.

2. On Silver, I'd give your level 15 Infiltrator a shot, but I'll be honest, I would prefer someone who's got twice than N7 rank as you. You're technically inferior, just as I'm inferior to ANY player N7-80 or above at first look.

3. That's bull. I play Vanguard. You rush in, it's your fault if you die. If someone can rez you, but if the turret 2 feet from you can't be taken out, then yeah, it's your own fault you can't be rezzed.

I'l generally make a game at bronze, and if the team is really strong, I'll move us up to silver. Only with a full set of level 15's or higher will I bother with gold. People will give you a shot once you prove yourself. Make your own games and show your guests you can kick butt. It's up to you to prove you're competent, not up to them to have a full communication suite. I know many PC players who play without any sort of communication equipment, myself included. Headsets are expensive. Mics are generally not a great way to communicate through games.

I don't find it a problem, but to you, I'm one the offenders. -shrug- Get over it and prove yourself to them.

Okay...

- The fact that there is zero text chat at the moment is partly to blame for this...and some people really don't own a mic.  Also, many people leave their mic's off unless they are playing with people they know.

- This is the terrible matchmaking at work.  You should also undertand that some people really do just want to play with people that are on par with their skill level, and not have to compensate for someone at a much lower level.  On a side note, do you have any idea how frustrating it is to sit waiting for other players with a friend, only to have low level player after low level player thrown into the lobby?

- If you are playing a level 2 Adept in Silver...well, you are the low man on the totem pole.  Also, if you are playing a low level character, now matter you good you are, the lack of powers/abilities/upgrades on that character is a liability not only for you but for the entire team.

I've yet to run into this problem, OP. Only issue I've had is pure lvl.1's accidentally joining a silver match and host not toning it down to bronze.

If you are level 1, and you join a game that is heading into Silver...why should the people in the Lobby tone down the game to suit you?  Isn't it on you to leave and re-join Bronze?

It's actually not common for players to use mics in multiplayer games. However, if you use a mic, and you score pretty decently, I've noticed people will listen to you when it comes to strategy even if they're silent. Never been told to leave because of my level though...a competent level 14 character can take on silver with teamwork. I tend to lower the difficulty to bronze if I have anyone on the team less than level 12.

Honestly we get dropped of the game 30% of the time, the last we want is to waste our time... I will never leave a 4 people team regardless of levels, but I won't use ANY equipment, even if you decide to change it to gold because everyone is over level 15.

Teams need synergy to know who is aggressive, who is reckless, who thinks and who plainly sucks...
And until I know all of that, I won't waste my items on you, even if I have more than 40 of them.

Much easier said then done when you've been building your friend-list on Steam for the past several years.

Remember, if you search in Bronze, it can and will give you silver games if it can't find a good enough Bronze one for you. This can cause a lot of people to be inadvertandly above their skill elvel, and should probably be kicked because they likely won't even realize it. This happened to my friend in his first game.

The price ranges for a headset go anywhere from 5$ to 300$.

So I can't quite believe you. And ontop of that, you are missing out some fun. You could end up discussing your favorite ME character while kicking cerberus behinds, or get annoyed because your salarian infiltrator decides to sing in a foreign language.

And if someone is a shy person / has bad english skills, voice chat is the way to improve.

So what do you dislike about voice chat so much?

PS: I bought a 60$ Headset for ME3 because the MP is that good. (Just got tired of not being able to shout directions at my team)  PC ones come generally cheaper (30$ and you're good). Plus nowadays they don't have to be crappy anymore, they can double as the headphones of choice for listening to music / watching movies.

I play with everyone whether they are level one or level 100 it doesnt matter. This elite player bull**** thats starting already is just stupid. This aint pvp its co-op and even the weakest link can contribute.
The problem I have is players leaving when they see my N7 rank is over 100 thinking I dont want to play with them. All my rank means is that I had too much time on my hands last week.

Look, there are always going to be jerkfaces. I've played with both awesome strangers that were super supportive, and babies that ragequit the second they go down because they run off to an isolated place and then can't be safely rezzed in time. All I can recommend is that when you find the good ones send them a friend request and don't give the a-holes a second thought. In fact my experience has been more positive than negative over-all.
