 Im not so sure , I will get the dlc no matter what . Promethean squad member ftw but with the collectors edition I get that and 4 N7 guns, a robotic dog , alternate appearance pack  etc.

From Ashes DLC comes with CE/DDE unless otherwise stated, so that's another plus to getting those versions. And, unless Bioware screws up [like with a couple of DA:O's DLCs] I generally buy all Mass Effect related DLCs. Personal choice though I enjoy what they add, even if it's just cosmetic tweaks.

@ Tez: Considering how Bioware has integrated past DLC characters, he'll definitely be part of the main game, just like Shale, unlocked separately via DLC. It's a move designed to encourage purchases of new games/supporting the developer w/o resorting to piracy basically - as long as they aren't asking an absurd price [800 MS seems pretty fair] I don't see an issue with it.

I pre-ordered my CE the minute they became available for pre-order.

I happened to be awake when the mass e-mail was sent out at like 2am, so i was like "OH, Good idea time!"

So yeah...

CE, 100 bucks...best money i've spent all year.

I got the CE the moment it was available. Anyone else now is out of luck for some of the coolness that is the CE.

I've pre-ordered the Collectors Edition on Xbox 360. Pretty much everywhere has sold out of the CE by now which just goes to show how big this game is going to be. If I hadn't been able to snag the CE, I would've definitely bought all the DLC anyway. I'm not one of those guys who buys the CE of games but this one has got alot of decent stuff with it that you might not be able to get after the game releases and it's a decent price considering what you get.

I also pre ordered the ultimate-collectors-N7-edition when it was first available. I always miss out on the collectors editions and I was not missing out on this one.

The point is i used to really enjoy Biowares games, thats why i am so disappointed with the turds they are turning out now and the direction they are going. Likei said they are in decline. And they use to make the best RPG's.

The Digital CE does not run out.

But that might be less cost effective than just purchasing the From Ashes DLC.

IDK, I'm looking forward to the robot dog and hoodie. I kinda hate the default non combat gear in ME2. Give my shep some baggy cargo pants and a hoodie, and she'll be great.

The turds they are turning out now? Really? Last I checked the Mass Effect series is pretty much their best work in a long time [I'd rank BG2 as their other masterpiece] - what it sounds like is you simply have a beef with them and thus are becoming an insulting fan instead of at least trying to maintain some civility as you make your point.

Wow. You know there's a difference between trolling and simply pointing out an obvious money-grab. Day-one DLC  is a huge middle finger to gamers, I don't care what company does it. Nobody should get banned for pointing that out.

I'm getting the normal copy and I'll only get the DLC if it's under ten dollars.

Yeah, aesthetics are not worth the extra 10 bucks. So I'm going to have to deal with 70 bucks, and that Prothean DLC better be substantial (as in, not the silliness that was "conversing" with Kasumi or Zaeed).

DA2=TURD!  ME2=not as good as ME1,  ME3=multiplayer, yup in decline i would say.

I'm a sucker for Mass Effect content....I'll be getting every DLC that comes out and I'm pre-ordering from Origin and Gamestop (I'll return one copy once I receive the DLC code)
