Of course they are. EA published Battlefield 3, which had no launch DLC, and made the enormous DLC pack they came out with 2 months later FREE to anybody who bought the game new.
Meanwhile, DAO and DA2 had the exact same exploitative DLC as they're trying to put into ME3. What's the common factor between these games, hmm?

Why are ppl complaining about DLC in the Collectors Edition. It was stated in the graphics that the CE came with dlc & character. Why didn't you complain back then? Why wait till now? oh wait because it's a Prothean you decide to complain about it.
The CE people are paying $20 more for it and other stuff as well, you can pay $10 and still get the game + DLC + Character for less than the CE Edition.
Don't say it's the the principle because none of you said a word about it when it was announced it was in when the CE months ago.
If your gonna be mad at someone then be mad at Gamestop, Best Buy and Amazon who don't list it in THEIR own listings, however the DLC and Character have always been on the graphics. Bioware and EA are not blame because someone at those Best Buy, Gamestop and Amazon were too incompetent to put it on their companies list of perks that come with the collectors edition.

Funny how getting the standard edition + DLC is only $10 away from the CE, but that values the CE stuff minus this DLC at $10. It's a steal to just get the CE.

my estimated arrival date for the CE is between the 12th and the 28th.
I'm considering dropping it and just getting the standard+DLC tbh, the extra gameplay was the primary reason I bought the CE. I can get it cheaper, and quicker that way.

I don't understand people getting all upset at this. After buying and playing Bioware games, did you think that they were going to change how they handle game releases. I would have thought that After DAO,DA2, and ME2 were release and had Day one Dlc,that people would have figured out that they would be doing the same with ME3. We knew for almost a year that there was going to be a bonus Squad mate coming with the CE.
I'm sorry, but I have nothing against them because I understand that the game we get sold is the main game regardless of what we the fans think should of or could have been included in it upon release.
The main game is not suddenly missing some vital component. All the DLC does is enhance what you are already getting in the game.
The complaints come off as going to a game and then complaining because you don't get the beverages and food served at them for free. Do they know that you want them,yes. are they vital to enjoying the game,no.
That is what dlc is. This doesn't make the Standard any less enjoyable then what it was before we found out about it.

I preordered the CE for the 360 back in October.
Because of two reasons:

2- They have absolutely no knowledge on game and DLC development and would rather spout their factless opinions rather than actually doing some research because "my opinion > facts".

They can do it, but charging me $70 to play your game? I'm not going to do that, even if it means missing out on the MP rush. I have limited time to play games, I can go elsewhere.

I'm glad that they are making the DLC available at least. The worst thing would be if BW made it CE exclusive. The guy at my local gamestop said that they sold out of those in September... WTF? Did they only make like 12 of them?

The $10 price tag is more due to the retailer selling it. The retailer and producer (EA) gets most of it while the developers don't get much of that money.
