Are you going to buy the Collectors edition or DLC?

Nor do I, particularly given that all of this has happened before and there wasn't anywhere near the hysteria.

It's been like this for every BioWare title w/ day 1 DLC that I can remember.
It's certainly within people's rights to voice their opinion and vote w/ their wallets so to speak, but the level of vitriol is unnecessary and unjustified, IMO. Unfortunately, it's the intrawebz so I guess it's unavoidable.

So this guy is venting about the Day 1 DLC and already have gathered plety of people venting their rage about it.
Even to the extend of BOICOT BW/EA and some showing the poster support by expressing the are gonna pirate ME3 as soon one of those infamous hackers like RAZOR 1911, RELOADED etc. got it cracked to bypass Origin client.
I got my digital copy ready pre-ordered. So COME AT ME ME3 BRO!

Like Warden's Keep? Thanks for the heads up. That makes things even more entertaining.Thinking of waiting for a few months now. Will likely get it used -- Hope the multiplayer is still fun by then.
IIRC MP only works once per copy, so you'll have to get a used ME3 copy from someone who didn't play MP.That likely means that I will just have to wait longer... Mass Effect 2 is selling for $20 bucks right now afterall.
I'm considering buying used too. Ordinarily I buy new, but I don't want to give Bio the wrong impression about MP.

I logged in specifically to vent my steam. I've always supported BioWare. I've never bought any of their games used, mostly went for special editions and loved every game they put out. As such, I already had the N7 Edition pre-ordered but I'm torn now.
Just because I go that extra mile for BioWare, doesn't mean it's okay for them to rip off everyone who does not do so. Cutting parts of the game out I already disliked in ME2 but now they are doing it again and even worse in ME3.
BioWare, I definitely hope you read this. I haven't been online in ages, when I was I usually didn't even post anything. But now I've logged in specificly to let you know that I'm deeply disappointed in you. You should try to enhance the experience of the gamer, not cut it down to sell it seperately.
I've always thought of you as one of the top developers, but now I really see you as that extremely talented developer that creates amazing games and wants us to sell our children for it.
Charge a regular price and don't do disrespectful things like this. Never forget who bought all those games from you. Your fans. Way to treat us like garbage sacks full of money.
I'm going to cancel my pre-order. I know what you're thinking: 'Ha, you're already hooked sucker. You have to buy our game'. Well, yes. That's true. So, I'm going to either get your game used or pirate it. Haven't decided yet.
In all honesty, this is the first time I'm absolutely furious with you guys, so I think I'll get it used and pay the 10 bucks for the DLC. That way, I'm probably out around the same amount of money, but at least it went to a better place. It's fitting I think: you deserve to be punished for this.
If extreme milking like this keeps going I'll see to it you never get another penny from me ever again.
Can I have your CE pre-order?
Want mine?
(I get to keep the N7 patch though. Ima use that on me BJJ uniform. Geeky Baddassness.
)Seriously... I'm looking for a good excuse to not get the pre-order...
(maybe I can just have a friend make the patch...)

Those guys are retarded considering the game will be bootlegged anyway totally unrelated to their crusade against EA/Bioware/ME3.

I understand it on the level that I get what their mission statement is, but the especially relentless and condescending "rage against the corporate machine" call-to-arms that littered this forum yesterday only made me progressively more unsympathetic to their cause.
Let me decide if I'm being taken advantage of, and how I want to spend my own money. I don't need some
random self-appointed hero of geekdom with a Youtube account to help me out with that, thanks.

I'm a little disappointed with EA as it looks like since I didn't order my CE from Gamestop I won't be getting all the cool equipment. Call me Crazy, but I feel like I should get all the content considering I just coughed up $80 for the game.
I'm inclined to agree. The only cool looking DLC weapon is the N7 assault rifle and it doesn't even come with the CE.
Odd choice.

But if I did, (which I won't) I wouldn't pay for this DLC. I'd pirate it. If the content is finished and not just cosmetics, you put it on the disc for all copies of the game. That's how it works, this micro transaction **** is not acceptable.

Im not so sure , I will get the dlc no matter what . Promethean squad member ftw but with the collectors edition I get that and 4 N7 guns, a robotic dog , alternate appearance pack etc.
For the trillionth time today, I've pre-ordered the collector's editions for the Xbox 360 and PS3 and I will buy them.

I really like story DLC's but I wont pay extra money for just some gear crap no matter how good it may be it's simply waste of money.
It's like with all the guns and armour DLC's for ME2, they don't influence the game, you can finish it with or without and have really good fun, while DLC's like LotSB adds to the game a lot.

Origin is a reason why ME3 will be my last BW/EA game. (I like the series too much) After that I wont buy any BW/EA games as long as BW will agree on use of Origin in their games.

Yeah, I'm cancelling my pre-order as well (just brought the webpage up to do it).
Haven't decided whether I'll pick up ME3 or not. I might install as separate OS installation just for Origin, but... well, we'll see if I get around to it. I'm certainly not installing it alongside my main files. The Origin thing really is sad. I don't know what they're thinking (actually, I suppose I do, they're thinking most people won't pay enough attention to care about the file deletion, spyware, draconian and sometimes arbitrary ban policies, EULA that waives legal rights, etc., but still...)
