Are you going to buy the Collectors edition or DLC?

I won't be purchasing it right away, won't support bad business, it's just dirty how obvious what is happening. (My opinion)

just DLC, CE seems like a waste of money . . . and i actually did cancel my pre-ordered CE and just got the SE . . . don't care about the artbook, soundtrack, etc, etc . . . omly got CE for the extra character
*note i pre-ordered at Gamestop (in-store), so maybe if your fast enough you can pre-order a CE if you want one

I don't understand all the hate, but whatevs. My husband and I preordered 2 copies of CE, and have no plans to cancel.
It is just pure ignorance to assume anyone that has a problem with all this is not an adult.

Nor do I, particularly given that all of this has happened before and there wasn't anywhere near the hysteria.
This situation has NEVER happened before with bioware.

I'm glad that they are going to make the DLC available, my CE was canceled, and I really want to experience all the content there is, so in my case I'm happy

Depends what you are after with your copy. If you have been a fan of the series from day 1 and are after a little bit extra then go CE. If you are just looking for a solid game experience buy the original game, and then if you enjoy it think about buying the DLC.

I preordered the CE awhile ago. I didn't even know it included the bonus character at the time. Needless to say, I am very pleased with my purchase. It's a good thing too or I probably would be done buying CEs, after that whole fiasco of me (stupidly) buying the $150 Skyrim CE. The piece of crap didn't even contain a plastic case, it was freakin' cardboard. I have to keep my Skyrim in a separate case now 'cause the cardboard one got crushed.

Ordered it the second it became available to pre-order. I like to collect CEs in general to be honest, and normally just because I can.
After seeing quite a few posts like ^that here. Not trying to offend anyone btw. that type of attitude with money and peopel saying there just going to buy every me3 dlc that comes out period. tells me theres no real hope of bioware deiciding to stop doing things like this. Frankly a game has to go gold, if they keep adding things before they put it on the market, it is never going to be "ready". What about any other dlc, like LotSB, thats lore, important lore, that is only available to people who pay extra money to play it. The iidea of people charging more, to get more, is pretty common place in a capatalist type society. hell the going rate on all new games, from Serious sam 3 to something massive with 10x the play time of it, like skyrim, are the same price, paying an extra 10$ for a top quality game to get the most out of it, is a lot better than what we could be paying if the above wasn't the case.

Dont get the hate for origin, how many people complain about the forced steam application needing steam to startup to run alot of retail games, the 2 provideres do you the favor of updateing your game and it gives the developers the insurance that you actually own the product they have made.
Mass effect 3 is a game not the end of the world, because they deside what will be in the game for launch it is there call not our call, and if they did remove it from the finished game that is there right as the developer of the game, people need to accept the fact they dont have a say at all in the matter of what is in the finished game.
We dont know if it was made when the game was in final approval for consoles when it was finished there is a 2 - 3 month period of testing done by Microsoft and Sony to approve the game for release on there platforms, they want a product for there consumers on the consoles that works and does not need to be patched like crazy from launch.
In that time period they could have made 1 dlc or more we just dont know for sure, but then again ill go back to my other statement we dont have jack to say about what is 100% content in the game and what has been removed what ever they release is THE GAME not 90% or what ever people might think.
