Wouldn't it be cool to have the multiplay characters be available as Shepard's squadmates?

I read that in EDI's voice.

I'd like to believe that some people like these blank slates who have more customizable options then the squad members since it gives us the chance to create the personalities ourselves.
I mean we invest the time to level them. I myself feel that I gave them a personality since I'm the one playing them. I feel that a game that gives us so many customizable options to make a experience to call our own that it would be cool imo to see another character we created to be part of Shepard's team whose is also someone we create. I realize that it may not happen, but whatever the case it's just a dream of mine.
If nothing else it would put another smile on my face to see Shepard tell my multiplayer characters that they've done a good job.

Well I used my custom crew for Baldur's Gate, rather than those lively people who I could pick up. I like my robots!

Actually it would be cool if your MP character would replace some unnamed grunt in one of plot missions as support squad leader and for example will get the job done unlike mentioned grunt. I think i would feel a bit fuzzy if shepard will say someting like "good job, carry on, man".
This would certainly encourage me.
Seeing your "MP asset" character actually be represented in a scene in the SP game would be great. No effect on game play or story advancement, but if you were getting the bonus asset points from the character, seeing them lead a sqaud or some such in a scene would definately tie the MP & SP into the exact same story.
I approve.

I prefer fully-written characters to semi-customizable Shepard 2.0s who we can't even control.

THis doesn't make any sense to me.
Their multiplayer skins how are you going to roleplay the same senarios with them? We're talking about the difference between Liara and some unnamed Asari drone. Lvling up is irrellevent when you can lvl Liara up to.
