I think it's fun.

Only problem is unlocking cards for characters you have maxed out (full level and appearence) but that's it.

I agree, the random unlock is fun.  I enjoy it far more than a grind.

Why the hate? And why the stress? It's a Demo, and in the real game, it's not as if you have a time limit to unlock these things.

I've yet to get the weapon unlock I want either. I'm not sweating it.

Right. Just that I and apparently a number of other people won't enjoy the game as much as they could. It's like being forced to play a ManShep Soldier (with no customization) in ME3 singleplayer for an undisclosed amount of time before you are allowed to switch to what you had in mind all along.

And actually, there is a time limit. It's called patience. As awesome as it will likely turn out to be, we won't be playing ME3 forever, and I'd rather make use of it in the fullest for the time I do.

I have no issue whatsoever with the weapon, modification or bonus unlocks, but classes, species and genders? Come on.

Random unlocks = makes the item feel more rewarding when you get it.
On the side note , finally got a Widow X tonight. I am one happy panda

Being more rewarding when I do get what I want doesn't make up for how pissed off I am on my  9th unlock of Drell Vanguard as opposed to something I actually want.

What you fail to grasp is that he doesn't see it as an opinion....

It could be a little less random.

I want to at least be insured I'm going to get a character unlock, even if I have to pay a little extra.

You know, you act as if you deserve to have the characters. You really don't. Not trying to troll or be a jerk, but just frankly you don't deserve to have them unlocked, if this is the system Bioware, who made the game, chose to use. I don't deserve to have them unlocked. No one DESERVES to have them unlocked. Yeah it sucks. I want Krogan Soldier, but haven't got one. Oh well.

You might argue, "But I put in the time!" Which is a fallacy. A comparison would be working at a job. Lots of jobs give yearly raises. Not all do. Just because you have put in time at some jobs does not qualify for a raise. Playing multi-player, while quite enjoyable in my preference, is still completely optional. You are not required to do it for any reason. You are not required to do it to get the best ending in ME3. You are not ever required to purchase Mass Effect 3.

Also while on the subject, you claim it fails. Did you stop playing after immediately not getting what you wanted on the first pack? If you did, then you claim is valid. If you continue to play, which I imagine you do, then you are simply whining.

And now you can begin trolling me.

Don't care for it myself. I'm already lacking the motivation to keep playing just for the very, very low chances of unlocking Salarian engi or Turian Sentinel. I've bought a LOT of vet packs but the dependency on RNG to even get the character I want to play is annoying. I don't mind the weapons and mods so much... I make do with what I have. But damned if I can't even play the character I want.

I think it'd be nice if when you first boot up MP, you get to pick one character from any race/class combo that you want unlocked from the beginning. Then you get starter races for the other classes. I would love that.

I love the unlock system and I hope it remains intact. I have played over 50 matches and have only one alien. I'm very patient. Try to have fun with the class you have. I went back to my human soldier and had a blast last night.

Becausea person could just want "x", but tire of playing the game before ever getting it.
