Actually, I just looked on the Wiki, and it says Sheryl Chee wrote the mage origin and Cullen.

True about the mage origin, but Sheryl Chee wrote DAO!Cullen.  DA2!Cullen was from Jennifer Hepler.

I'll fangirl twice more now, then ('cause I do like insecure fragile DAO!Cullen very much too)

I like most her work. Especially the broodmother part of Orzammar. Genuinely creeped me out my first playthrough.

This whole thing - the revelations about the broodmothers, the deep roads, Branka's betrayal - was awesome. It was horrifying and effective, and it stayed with me like few other things do.

I like Anders a lot. I like Legacy. She wrote most fo the smuggler in TOR, and it's pure gold. She's a good'un.

I actually like Sebastian, even if I wanted to punch him sometimes, he is well written

Branka and Hespith were among my favourites in DAO. Rarely have I been that creeped out by a non-hooror game!

Me too, Hespiths poem in the background was creepy. And knowing what happens to the females:sick:

I love her work, and agree with those praising her work on the dwarves in DAO in particular. The Broodmother sequence still managed to creep me out the eighth time I played the game.

DA2 Anders is a well-written character I want to punch in the face most of the time, but I love Sebastian unreservedly and hope we see more of him in the future.

I think the fact that Helper's writing tends to elicit strong emotions (both positive and negative) indicate her strength as a writer. I mean, I love (DA2) Anders, but can't stand Seb, and I was really, really PO'd with Elthina's lack of action. Her DAO work with the Branka story line is also incredibly creepy.

And though he's from SWTOR and not DA, I also love Corso Riggs! He and his romance are very cute, and I know she at least wrote his romance.

Overall, I think Jennifer Helper's writing is great. I really love her work, and am impressed with the gamut of emotions it inspires.

Loved all the dwarf stuff, and the dwarf commoner origin was my favorite in DA:O. Anvil of the Void quest was awesomesauce.

Cannot stand anything about DA2 Anders, but this is mostly a singular exception in her work, as almost all of her other NPCs are universally engaging.

I actually enjoyed Seb. Every game needs a purist (a "my way or the highway") and she wrote two very good extremist characters.

Legacy, in my opinion, was VERY good. She did a great job. Mage origin was good, and I enjoyed the dwarf commoner but thought it could use some work. I love dwarf lore, im very intrigued by it so if she helped bravo. The Anvil of the void quest was long and boring...while I felt it had good parts, I feel that she could of made it less, well strenuous.

Leandra, Bethany, and Elthina were all good characters. I don't know why people majorly attack Hepler...you can't blame everything on one person. Dragon Age 2 wasn't that bad in the first place. Just felt rushed and could of been a better "sequel" but game wise I enjoyed it.

Based on that list, the only thing I didn't like was her take on Anders. I liked Sebastian much more than I thought I would and Bethany was pretty much my favorite companion besides Aveline.

Also, I think the Anvil of the Void quest was one of the most memorable moments in the first game, and the Dwarvish lore is really what got me hooked with DAO in the first place.

Anders was beyond infuriating for me, honestly. I was really excited to see him again after DAOA, but after about ten minutes of him in DA2, I didn't want anything to do with him. But still, I don't think I can insult or bash her writing for finding myself opposing her characterization of one character.

Ah. Those are definitely some of my least favourite characters and moments in DA. Especially Anders.

The only thing i like out of that list was the Dwarf Commoner Origin.

The Anvil of the Void questline was honestly among the more memorable parts of the game. Genuinely creepy with an amazing payoff. Like Heart of Darkness + The Deep Roads. And Branka was such a great character.

I definitly like her work on Origins, Orzammar and the Anvil of the Void are may favourite area and questline. That said , I must damit that her job on DA II doesn't please me at all. It was and is difficult for me to imagine that DA II Anders should be the Awakening Anders. One could argue that his change comes from Justice but I think his new character just doesn't fit him.
Also Beth and the mother. They barely have any character at all, I was expecting more from a sister or a mother.
But if she is responsible for a good part of the Legacy plot, then I'll give my kudos to her.

Didn't she write Hespith's chant?

I thought it was perfect.

DA2 Anders was a strong character. I really didn't care about him one way or the other in Awakenings (I don't think I even had him in my party), but over the course of DA2 he really grew on me to the point that my Mage Hawke considered him a good friend. Then the spoilery event happened and I felt a wide range of emotions.

I liked Bethany and Leandra, both of them seemed to have believable family relationships with my Hawkes.

I don't have Sebastian, mainly because day1 DLC tends to annoy me, so I can't comment on him.

I've only played Legacy once, compared to two playthroughs of the main quest, so I can't remember it in as much detail, but I remember thinking at the time that it was pretty good (and I can be very harsh when it comes to DLC).

Of my two times in DA:O, I played the Human Noble first, and then the Mage origin, so can't comment on the Dwarf Commoner. Mage origin was okay I guess, I don't think there was anything wrong with it in particular, but the Human Noble origin blew me away so much that everything else will seem less interesting by comparison.

I loved pretty much the whole Orzammar section, and I'm one of the few players who didn't think it was too long.

Considering how creepy I found the whole Broodmother thing, I am horrified to think of the kind of bedtime stories she likes to tell her kids.

I wonder why she got stuck writing the goody goodys in DA2? She can clearly write evil and crazy people going by the Anvil of the Void quest.

Loved the Anvil of the Void quest -- that (along with the Ashes quest) are the two areas I really look forward to on a replay.

Well I will give an honest opinion

-DA2 Anders
It felt the character was forced, it was a good character if you see his qualities and downsides. But the way that he was introduced the story and some of the conversations was a bit awkward.

-Dwarf Commoner Origin
Went well
-Mage Origin
My friend did play it, he said it was a good origin

-Anvil of the Void Quest
I enjoyed, even with the ending was kinda of expected, Branka was mad, you find her(You make a choice). You could had surprised us with the twist of, you found Branka remains.Near the forge.
She made it, but she had throw everything , including her life.(Some people might say : Well she did it but she was alive. Its a matter of taste there, death gives another feeling)

-Some Dwarf Lore
Which?
-Many Orzammar NPC's
The dwarf mage researcher?Felt that was just another side quest.
-Sebastian
Sorry with the prices of DLC's , I avoided him and the others.
-Leandra
Standard mother that ended like a dead bride.
The ending I admit, was unexpected, normally they give you the standard heroic romantic mothers death with an arrow in her heart, oh son this are my last words.

-Behthany
Annoying as a person, too much the stereotype of lovely sister that never fights you, even if you are being a complete retard with everyone.

-Elthina

Just the only voice of reason inside of chantry, while Anders blow everything up (This is one of forced Anders things, he had a cause, but sorry that was way retarded what he did, didn't respond of what the character showed)

-Much of Legacy's Main Plot

Over all it was a mediocre story(Neither oh my God , its gonna be a classical of all video games , neither wow what a piece of...).After playing the game I realized why the riots and all things, people were expecting a 9/10 story at least, they got a 6.5.

Finally I don't endorse not of these hate protest made against her.
But stay a tip for Helpler, if you wanna survive on the internet.
Ignore the offenses, normally social networks have a friendly block button.
Try to get in contact with the fans, show some previews of your work.(Maybe people can send a feedback to help to improve it with a brainstorm).

Well hope that Dragon Age 3 , goes smooth and don't cause all this drama llama.

If she wrote the broodmother stuff, then she's ok by me. Creepy and sickening, exactly as it should be. By the time I got to Branka I was ready to tear her limb from limb.
