I'm getting 1500 Microsoft points soon and i'm abit confused about which dlc i should get, any suggestions?

depends if you prefer doing missions or having more weapons. The Kasumi DLC is excellent and I definitely recommend it. It has a new squad mate a new loyalty power, a new SMG, and a new mission. It's probably the best DLC out there. Shadow Broker brings Liara in as a temporary squadmate and isn't too bad.
If you want guns however, the firepower pack has some fun ones.

I have the PS3 version so I received all of the squad members for free.
If you want a larger party, I would agree that you should get the DLC squad members.
But I would also recommend the Arrival mission. It's intense as it is, but it also has important consequences that are briefly referred to in the ME3 demo (and hopefully touched on more in the full ME3 game).
