Alright, well I see I've gleaned about all I can from arguing with you (I argue with trolls for practice, it's suprising how much it helps).

A summary report/suggestions:

• Your arguing wasn't bad.  You're pretty good at taking things out of context and picking at pieces of arguments, while ignoring the rest.  However, one thing you should never do is go against the laws of statistics.  Read up on them, if you must.
• On that point, a better claim than "social scientist" is "I have a degree/am majoring in psychology."  Quite a bit of psychology is statistics, and it's a Liberal Arts degree (at least where I am), so people are more likely to believe that you have the degree/are studying it.
• Watch for arguing yourself in a circle.  You started with not doing any math and saying people that did math didn't know anything, without doing any of your own, and you ended with making a false statement about math.  You should either make up some numbers or, better yet, learn how to do statistics and skew the numbers for yourself.
• Pretty good at blowing things way out of proportion.  "Following the game obsessively" was a good one, you should have used that one earlier.
• Excellent topic title/subject switch.  I had no idea this would be about the Femshep poll.
• You are really bullheaded in the face of facts.  The problem is that you were too selective in your responses.  You need to address much more of people's arguments to appear legitimate.

7/10 arguing, 3/10 general trolling (mostly from the thread title).  I didn't really read the blondist/racist/sexist stuff, so I'll refrain from judging.

Edit: I've just realized, you sound a lot like the Riddler.  If that is intentional, then I offer you some genuine praise.

I'm pretty sure that there is no law of statistics that states if you take any group of people and ask them something, they'll give the same answers as another group that were asked the same question.

It really is unfortunate that you don't seem to understand the importance of the gulf in numbers that took part in the seperate polls, and are unwilling to contemplate the reasons behind it.

It would seem that you use "troll" to describe someone that doesn't share your rather odd way of thinking, so perhaps you should toddle off to talk to someone that will blindly agree with you.

I'm an ex-scientologist, and always viewed the Xenu mythos as an allegory to explain human suffering. I do believe in ancient aliens, and really don't care about what you have to say on the matter.

Those people do exist, though.  And most religions can have their origin stories boiled down into something that sounds completely laughable.  Though I guess as a religious person myself, I feel obligated to tolerate others' beliefs, even if they do sound rather far-fetched, as doing anything else would seem like hypocrasy.

Uhm, no. 40,000 less people voted in the second poll... so rather a lot of people would appear to have missed it. Those most likely to not have missed it are those that complained and were generally unhappy with the initial result.

Another fact you seem to be just moving around: redhead won by a massive amount.  In the first poll, blond won by a large amount, and as you said, there were more people in the first poll.  I'll even be nice and say that the blonde won at 40%.  I'm not exactly sure how many voted in the first (I'm guessing ~65,000, since you say there were ~40,000 more than the second, and didn't refute my claim of ~25,000 in the second).  That's ~26,000 people that theoretically voted for blonde.  Are you really going to tell me that less than 20% of the people that voted for blonde Shepard in the first poll voted for her in the second?  ~21,000 people is a lot of people to suddenly go missing.

Which leads me to what I said earlier: they probably didn't care.  And if they didn't care, why should they decide?

Now, I like a good argument as much as the next person, but really, "dynamo"?  You're either a troll or someone who thinks very highly of themself, and I can't decide which is worse.

The second poll was not as widely publicised. You can deny it, but it is a fact.

If someone cared enough to vote the first time, why wouldn't they vote the second time? Because they didn't know about it, obviously. It's probably difficult for you to imagine, but some people don't live and breathe Mass Effect. There are plenty of casual fans, and it's rather offputting that you seem to be of the belief they don't deserve to have an input.

Oh no, i am a pretty big Mass Effect fan and am really excited for ME3. I generally only use these forums close to the release of a game or DLC pack.

But the main reason i'm here is because i live and breathe social justice.
