When you can help the real targets of misogyny, helping out at say a shelter for battered women.

Because this is more important. Lots of people volunteer at shelters. Not many people stand up for blondekind, so i'm needed more here.

This is bigger than simply the default female Shepard's hair. Lots of people were upset by the derogatory comments made on this forum and in stupid opinion pieces on popular gaming sites (like the one i linked) so please don't pretend that real people aren't being hurt by this.

Rosa Parks was something of a champion of social justice, but she only helped those of a very specific physical attribute. She's no less of a hero, and neither am i.

Well no, but have you heard of sarcasm?  Blonde jokes are pretty mainstream, don't let things like that get under your skin.

If it bothers you that much make up jokes about other hair colors.

Just because for some bizarre reason it is socially acceptable to say hurtful things about blonde women, does not mean that it's okay. It's really, really not. I'm certainly not going to stoop to such level and subject others to that kind of treatment.

It only got under my skin because comments like "she's blonde, so looks more concerned with her nails than the reapers" shouldn't have an effect on the creative process.

To be fair, it's also socially acceptable to make fun of blonde guys too.

Seriously, of all the things to get upset about, blonde jokes are pretty low on the scale of reasonability. It's not an actual prejudice, it isn't people actually going out of their way to marginalize some minority, and it isn't based on anything but an established humorous stereotype about people who in many cases aren't even natural blondes.

They aren't Polish slander jokes or Jewish slander jokes. They're never supposed to be taken seriously by anyone. They're just... blonde jokes. It's really not that important.
