Does anyone know what type of metal the special edition case is to be made out of?

No. It really does matter.
Blonde won the vote. Some misogynstic dullards took to this forum and twitter to whine about it. BioWare caved, commiting one of the worst crimes against blondekind in recent history.
The correct female Shepard will grace the cover of my game. I can do that much.
excuse me? i checked the tallys, red won by double if not tripple the votes for blonde
it was a massive landslide
Check again and you'll see that far fewer people voted in the second poll than the first. It's not an accurate view of the wants and wishes of the total ME fanbase, only those that were unhappy with the results of the initial polling.
It is an accurate representation. How do you think poll projections and surveys work? How census' are done? You interview a small chunk of the population as a representative sample, rather than needing to interview the whole population. It's a fact that this can be used, as is used, to predict outcomes and opinions. To deny that just because you don't agree with the outcome is ludaris.
Further, fem!Shep's default has been a redhead in the two previous games so it would make no sense for her to suddenly be a blonde. Hence why people voted redhead. They like all the other aspects of the blonde model, just not the hair color. Which is why the voting turned out as it did.
You can prefer blonde Shep and change your tin to reflect that. But don't try and blow it into something it's not.

It is an undeniable fact that significantly fewer people took part in the second poll. We need to ask ourselves why, and also ask ourselves which kinds of people would have been more inclined to follow the story (past its original conclusion).
The simple truth is that the blonde Shepard was infinitely more popular. A few short weeks of misogyny-fueled complaining later, BioWare caved and held a second poll, which nowhere near as many people were aware of. Those that were aware of it are more likely to have been the aforementioned bigots, than the purveyors of good taste, such as myself, that got their way originally.
The second poll was skewed, and i'm embarrassed for you that you can't see that.

It doesnt matter if less people vote, it's a sample cross section of a larger demographic. Unless you're suggesting people who prefer blonde just happened to all miss the second vote by coincidense. Pretty tall odds of that happening.

That's not what i'm suggesting at all. I've been quite clear in stating that those most likely to have followed the farce are the ones that were displeased with the results. This fact alone drastically skewed the results.
I wanted a blonde Shepard, and after getting my way in the initial polling, i stopped following the story. I heared nothing of a second poll, which wasn't as publicised as the first, until after it had closed.

Instead of complaining about day one DLC and that viral marketing stunt, people should be more like me and actually do something about it. There is little wrong with the world that wouldn't be solved by having people behave like me.

Well for what it's worth. If your a PC player, I'd imagine someone will make a mod similar to the DA2 one which allows you to alter the default appearances, allowing you to turn red head to blonde.

Unfortunately i game the superior way: On Microsoft's xbox 360.
I probably wont even play as a female Shepard anyway. This is more about the box art, and standing up for what's right.

I didn't say that either.
I should be offended that so many of you have taken to flat out lying and misrepresenting my position.

She made it sound as though i was saying that blonde women today have it as bad as black women in 1940s America. I didn't, not by any stretch of the imagination, as your quote proves.

To clarify: Stating that belittling someone for being blonde is just as bad as belittling someone for having dark skin is absolutely nothing like stating "blonde women have it as bad as black people used to".
It's offensive to me when idiots like Adragalus try to put such opinions on me.

I know it wasn't exactly what you meant, but I feel that you should have gone to greater lengths to clarify your original point as specifically being "racial oppresion vs blonde prejudice" as opposed to "black jokes vs blonde jokes."
On first glance, I took your post to mean something other than what you clarified your meaning as. You clarified, all is well.
So I suggest you don't insult me offhand.

Look at the badges under my picture. Now look at the badges under your picture. I've played every BioWare game on the xbox and xbox 360, and am demonstrabely a loyal fan.
This practice of labelling anyone you disagree with as a troll is rather peurile. You should strive to be better than that.

They coincide. It's rather peurile to assume that "do not like = troll."
I find it somewhat a marker of a troll if, instead of defending their position with relevant facts or on-topic points, the post instead insults and belittles anyone opposing their position, in a manner not unlike that which you claim.

Oy, it's not about me disagreeing with you, it's about you throwing out provocative and volatile bait left and right from the very beginning, or just general absolute silliness. C'mon man.... saying silly stuff like this:
"I've met plenty. In fact, i've come across a great many more people that
think this institutionalised prejudice against blonde people is okay,
than people that make racist statements.
It must be purged from
the face of the earth. I will fight, i will sacrifice, and i will find a
way. Because that's what gentlemen do.
The first step is defacing my special edition, devaluing it greatly, in the name of social justice."
And this: "Unfortunately i game the superior way: On Microsoft's xbox 360."
And other stuff. I still can't fathom how anyone bought into this whole conversation

I think you may have failed to properly interpret another post. I haven't branded anyone a "troll".
Your previous strawman didn't warrant a proper response. You, by your own admission, made a mistake. I don't think you realise how offensive that mistake was. To imply that i equate the suffering of blondes with the historic plight of black people is as insulting as it is untrue.
