I second this. And make them available for real-world funds.

I can't wait for the full-game to come out. All the kiddies whining about the Unlock system will eat their words.

If have you such a problem with the unlocking system, why not protest by never buying the game, or never playing multiplayer. That'll show those guys.

I do have spoken but I have not demanded anything. I like the random drops. Besides all the people complaining haven't even tried it in the full game.

Yeah, I agree. At the very least, you should have the option to purchase a pack which guarantees a new character unlock...I don't care how much it costs. Heck, have it cost 300-500gs but at least I'll have satisfaction in knowing that I'll be guaranteed a new character once I get enough $$$.

It baffles me completely as to why they didn't make it so that you can buy each and every little thing (characters, weapon mods, gun upgrades medi-gels etc.) individually as it fits your tastes; you know that's something that one would expect from a normal 'Store' function. Imagine someone who never uses sniper rifles, all the sniper rifle unlocks and the subsequent upgrades would be totally useless to them.

This is probably the multiplayer's biggest flaw.

I'm a people.

And I think its fine.

It got me to play a lot of classes I never would have otherwise, and it really makes me want to play "Just one more round!" Because I'm thinking I might get something that completly changes my playstyle.

I think the unlock system is great. It really pulls you, making you want to play again and again so you can get that thing you really want from the packs.

Besides, it's not like having to play as a human for a while until you unlock a different character is that bad, really.

Characters should have been fully customizable period.

Name
Race
class
Powers
Appearance
Everything else could have been random.

It is not ok to be forced/tricked into something against your will.
It does not pull me in,it does not make me wanna play one more,it does not make me want to use an Asari adept, nope not at all.

I was inticed by the idea I would get to play as a fully customizable alien race. Now I am a level 66 and have not.
And will never as every race/class is a locked defualt with very limited customization. Lame.

The MP is fun, I can deal with random unlocks, but come on. People who are contempt with the system, have found something they wanted. Your opinion is biast. Go days (Or longer) and spend countless wasted money on barely anything useful and tell me it is a good/great system. BS  Yea 38 thermal clips yay!!!

To start with I thought the random packs were a fun idea.....first freebie pack I scored a Krogan soldier. While not ideal, I thought it bode well for future race/class unlocks: since then I have only ever unlocked humans....repeated ad nauseum.
And gun mods for guns I dont use.
and yet MORE human classes.......
and so went my patience with the random unlock system, and its a shame, because I really do enjoy bumbling around in the multiplayer: but having paid for probably upwords of 20 veteran packs, and at least double that in recruitment packs, and STILL not have either of the races I really wanted is very bloody frustrating.

I posted something just moments ago that sums up how I feel on another topic like this. I like the idea of full customization and am definitly in favor of it. However, in regards to how people are acting about it is silly.

You say they forced or tricked you? Where? Did they say it would fully customizable from the beginning (tricked) or to get the best ending in ME3 you are REQUIRED to play multiplayer (forced), because I can verify as can many others, that simply isn't the case. Is the randomness sometimes unfair, absolutely. I want a Krogan Soldier. Maxed out my Human Soldier in the vain attempt it would help. Still hasn't. Do I deserve the Krogan Soldier, though? No. Why? Because Bioware established this TCG system is how they want to do multiplayer - if it's not your cup of tea, you don't have to drink it. In that sense you, or I, or anyone else doesn't deserve any character they want.

That being said, I'm not disagreeing with the concept that it could have been fully customizable, I actually would have loved it. However, people are acting entitled to something they are simply not entitled to. Yes, its not fair. Random is not designed around fair. You could get everything you want in under 15 games. Or go the whole demo and never unlock it. Both options are viable and understandable. To complain about them since it IS going to be implemented is a waste of time.

It's too late to change it, but random unlocks with duplicates and that's not catered to someone's play-style should've been obvious as a bad idea... it will turnoff MANY (not all, but many) gamers. The best we can hope for now is more specific packs with NO duplicates like:

- Weapon Pack (ammo, guns, and mods)
- Character Pack (aliens and unlocked customization)
- Equipment Pack (medi-gel, rockets, etc)

Plus other tailored packs at varying cost with NO duplicates.

I beg to differ. I am fine with the current unlock system. It is fun. Do not presume to speak for every Mass Effect player.

We have not yet reached consensus. But we believe a Geth Infiltrator platform should be available.

Not that Geth infiltrate. But that is the designation.

I would love to play a geth class in any situation. But :crying: We can't.

As much as we all would love to use a Geth Infiltrator, even though there arent enough Character slots, is that the full game will have Geth as an Enemy, and your going to become quite distracting.

Whilst I can see your comment being true... other than the fact none of the 'human' versions of classes have armor identical to the Cerberus goons, if someone put their gear in matching colours, that could get confusing in a CQC instance ;)

As for the OP... *kicks the soapbox from under him* I dunno which people you speaking of but you definitly not speaking on my behalf :P

Random unlocks are fine, just need to fix a couple bugs. The full version will have higher packs for gold rares AFAIK, so you can quit your ****ing.

Complaining is a freedom of mine, and a way to vent frustration.

Is ME3 MP customizable by deffintion? Yes. When I heard you get to play as customizable alien races,I did not expect locked defaults,in which I could change the color of their locked armor. You should have expected more also.
Low standards create low outcomes.

I never implied MP was needed to beat or enjoy SP??? Thin air assumptions? Although it does help ,and adds to the SP.
Forced may have been a strong word, but the only way to unlock their random items is to play the game the way they force you to, until you have unlocked your random desired items. Which has no time limit and may never happen. If I play MP & then beat the SP and never unlocked my desired items what is to make me turn it back on?
Why not move on to resident Evil?

Also I am always entitled to my opinion. Also buying ME3 entitles me to play it the way I see fit, No not create it,but play it. If I buy ME3 with the assumption I get to play as a Quarian in MP and never get the chance, how is that a good sytem?

My complaint is about the characters, not the entire random system. I just feel as if they could have handled the characters better. I unlocked an Asari adept... Big deal, still do not use it. I'm a level 66,why should I continue to suffer?

Random Unlocks means more playtime required to unlock exactly what you want.

It also creates an "addictive" mindset (which is why all MMO's have random drop)

Thus - it means that ME3 will have more people playing it online for longer.
which is a good thing.

Ah, then i have misinterpreted your previous post and am sorry. But this is for the demo. They have said, while also being aggrivatingly vague, that there will be other packs and that we haven't even seen half the games unlockables in the demo. I, personally, wouldn't be surprised if there is three to five more "booster" packs that are out when the game ships, one of which might be a character pack.
Que Sera, Sera.

I think this will ****** off a lot of people, especially casual players since it might take a lot of time before they can play what they really want. I come back because of the gameplay and despite of the unlock system... like MANY people here.

It turns casual players into "hardcore" players.
It has been science-proven

Random drop - or in this case unlock,
will make people play more frequently and for longer.
