Omg I wanted so many more new options, and for the old ones to not be made in some cases - especially femshep - WORSE :(

What's happened??

I haven't quite checked out the femshep hairstyles as of yet, but as for male there are defintely more hairstyles in the catagory, but most are ones that already existed in the game though you couldn't get them.

The one with the shortish mohawk going through the middle is new, but James Vega had something like that if i can recall. (You can even get Udina's hair...)

It's called a fauxhawk.

I wasn't impressed. I was hoping for a nice, tight side parting. But no. Apparently every man in Mass Effect has a receding hairline.

Based on a previous tweet from Bioware, the demo doesn't have all the new options, just some of them. So hopefully there'll be a few more "good" ones in the final game.

I liked some of the new options they had for male and female, but they changed one of the options that my main Shep has, so now I have to find him a new look.  No more spikes on the military fade look. :(

Also the hairstyle with the hair brushing slightly over the face for male CC looks plain weird now... To scruffy like i think, there's defintely something about it that makes it look wrong/weird.

Well for me my Femshep has always had the short currly hair. But now it is kinda bushy and not tight to the head. It just looks off...

The one hair style I've always used since ME1 was revamped in ME3. It kind of looks like plastic but it also does this weird "thing" with the forehead. There is a more "hair" lookalike version of the same style, but it also has a weird thing going on at the base of the hair on the back. Examples:

Forehead problem with first hairstyle:

Hair problem with second style:

I really, really, really hope so. More so for the first one. Despite its plasticy look, I like it better than the second ones scruffy-ness.

That "bump" on the forehead on the first pic looks more like just the orange lighting reflecting off the hair...it just happens to match the forehead color, making it appear flat. But it does make it look plasticy.

Oh trust me, that bump is always there. That was just the best picture of it I could find. It's not always apparent but when Shep turns his head like that...yeah.

Makes me sad. I don't want to go shaved.

I hate the back of the hair too. But otherwise they are huge success for male Shepard player like me. :)

I want to believe this too. my friend LOVES Mass Effect, but was so distrubed by the CC she couldnt continue; she's got PTSD ;)
Bioware, I love you guys - can you fix this??

P.S. some of te styles DO look better, like the long tucked behind the ears femshep. and the textures look much more like hair. but the COOL as been removed from many of them - and some just sit too low or high on the head. like, for example, the last female stye, and the new male style that as this severe part to the side: it sits way too low, and also is ust strange overall. get some COOL in there, some actual STYLE ;)

Yeah I'm sad. I was looking forward to seeing what the last game might have for character creation and it seems like the worst in the series in that regard.
God I hope importing my femsheps wont look as bad but ugh I hope modding isn't so hard this time around... I do NOT want to switch out INI files just for better hair.

For male Shepard it's the best of the series. And the "young" complexion doesn't look like your face was made of plastic this time around, which is a plus.

But I do wish they would fix the box-like back hair.

yes importing worries me.
i suppose i dont need to say this, but: generally, folks who make custom sheps put a lot of time into that process, and get sort of emotionally tied to their result.

I put almost an hour into that face up there. I took so many photos of my own face and got it as close as I could with the resources at my disposal.
