So me and my friends were just playing a game on Firebase white on silver. We usually have no problem with silver, pretty much full extraction every time. But who else thinks a hack spot/upload spot at the ship(spawn area) is rediculous? Me and my friends just got destroyed when trying to hack that spot for wave 10, simply because they spawn behind you :pinched:

Anybody else think they shouldn't spawn behind you?

Huh? Don't the spawn locations depend on where your team is arrayed?

Sometimes all 4 people sitting in the hack spot isn't the best idea.

Yeah, I think if you stay by the ship the whole game they don't even spawn by there.

Yeah I think on wave six or higher thats the hardest objective and location combination in the game. The enemies continue to spawn behind. The Phantom continue to respawn and dance on the corsus of your allies. You end up with 2-3 turrets setting up a crossfire killing field on your position. Plus multiple Atluses(Atlui?) marching on you. Not easy at all.

I had this for wave 10 gold but we adapted now end of wave 6 and end of wave 9 we send two people to take cover over there and if it does come with that then they do not spawn behind you

NOTE: if you do not send your people before the wave starts even though you get there before them they still spawn there so it has to be at the end of the previous wave

One time I was in a match and we had a round that required you to deactivate 4 devices. One of the devices spawned at the base of the stairs near the landing pad. The enemies kept spawning by jetting up from underneath the landing pad to the edge. They spawned just about as quickly as we could kill them (maybe a little faster) so we never had any time to actually spend deactivating the device. Granted there were only two of us there since the third person in the match was jerking off in a corner somewhere or something, but I couldn't help but think of how terrible a spawn spot it was for that device.

If they just stopped spawning there just for the duration for the hack or enabling of device that'd be nice. Like at the end when you extract.

Sounds like you need a Krogan soldier...

but srsly I kind of agree, they should make it so if your standing around there the enemies that are meant to spawn there shift to a different (but close) spot so its a bit easier.

Wait, was this earlier today? If there was a vanguard in the match, that was me Image IPB.  I remember it being the fourth device. I turned the corner to activate it, and every single enemy is basically camping on that device.  Two turrets + engineers, along with a bunch of other stuff.  The engineers respawned as fast as they died and the turrets just would not stay dead. Image IPB That was absolutely brutal.

Also, hacking at the lz of firebase ghost isn't much fun either.  Turrets + phantoms + no cover = instant kill box.

I don't think the spawn point should ever be right on top of the hack zone, at least not in bronze or silver. If you don't have any really good melee/CC people, you're screwed with all the phantoms.

Actually, the hack at the landing pad isnt bad since its almost identical to your extraction. the only difference is that they start ON the pad (jumping from the ledge, etc), So once you clear them off the pad, you can basically set up like an extraction.

I had nearly the exact same type of match. Wave 10, at the base of the stairs near the landing pad, turrets and Atlas Mechs with Engineers and the occasional Phantom camping the fourth device. Man, so close to getting that money. >_<

I may have been in that game with you. It is a rather bad location for that.

During that kind of scenario I tend to stick to that area to the right of the ship, that way I have cover and an open view of the area.
