Who else is part of it? I sure am.  I have 7 weapons at rank 10 the rest are above 6 unless they are golds, and I have every weapon mod at 5.

I don't really dislike the way the weapons are unlocked but I really wish the odds would even out. I have had 9 gold weapon unlocks and who knows how many asari adepts, turian sentials, and krogan soldiers.

Ha. I've unlocked Phalanx, Tempest, and Scimitar. That's it. No other guns. No other classes at all.

Yeah I'm in that club every weapon with exception to the other heavy weapons are level ten and my mods are all level five, and yet all I get are character customization's that have been max'd out for days now.

if you have the carnifex its a very good alternative with a scope.

My veteran packs aren't even giving me silvers anymore its all just blues, I thought the silvers were the "uncommon" items that the veteran pack promises at least one of.

The main reason I want the widow is so I can see how much power recharge increase it gives me at level 10, and if there's anything I need to adjust in how I evolve my powers for when the game comes out. Like cloak recharge time to widow reload time.

I do have the carnifex and like I said in the OP I have all of the mods at 5 so it has the scope and the barrel.  But the damage is still lower, its more of a replacement for the viper than it is for the widow.  The main perk of the widow, to me at least, is how it goes through guardian shields.

Also all but one of my friends that play with me have gotten the widow, one of them got it in his starter pack and he only uses the assault rifle.

Could you give me an idea of how much it weighed? How much power rechange does it add and which weight capacity increase/weapon weight decrease evolves you have?

nope don't have it aswell.

It takes up the full weight bar if that gives you an idea. Salarian infiltrator went from having about +62% power recharge with Mantis to -152% after equipping the Widow. It wasn't even worth it to me.

I even took the reduced sniper rifle weight and it did barely anything to change the weight problem.  Keep in mind I also had a SMG, the locust equipped but still.

To still get a meaningful recharge you would have to max out fitness and take everything to make the weapon weigh less and even then, you would be better off with a different sniper rifle or just taking the Widow.

Finally got one last night.

I only carry a widow on my salarian infiltrator. +20% recharge speed is enough for me.

youre not suppose to bring another firearm with your widow, it kills enemies with a body shot and you can melee guys up close anyway.

What upgrades did you have for him though? Salarians get 30% rifle weight decrease versus humans that only get 20% for all weapons, so 30% on an extremely heavy weapon makes a large difference.

-152% is still rather high but if you took the weight reduction. From what I can gather on my salarian that has no points spent, it sounds like you only got one of the 2 weight reduction powers.

This is not enough for me, I want my Salarian to be able to cap objectives and escape without dying AND be a killing machine.

Mantis is a perfect balance.

Its a matter of playstyle, most sidearm weapons weigh so little it doesn't even matter.  Rank 4 Carnifex only weighs 31% of a level 1 infiltrator's capacity and its only going to get smaller and smaller as it gets to 10, same for widow.  My avenger 10 weighs only 20% and thats an assault rifle (both of those %'s were before any weight reductions)

You must not have any capacity increases then. It's a matter of play style, if you though that 17.5% more damage on the already hardest hitting weapon was necessary then so be it, but I would much rather take both of the weight reductions instead, or at the very least the 30% less on sniper rifle from salarian or 20% for all weapons for human, and be able to carry the carnifex.
