I 'm level 37 usually play Human soldier lvl 20, I do have the turian sentinel , don't care for him they can't roll when grenades are thrown at you. . .they move to slow for me. . .I have the widow its at level II but have not used it yet , I'm in luv with my Avenger X and Katana VII , they rock . . . my recharge speed is at +136 , I use A.Rush with my Avenger with scope and C.Shot with Katana mostly up close I have other weapons but find these suit me just fine . . . .

I don't even like the widow. If you miss a shot, there is an eternity before you can do anything else and you just spent a bunch of time doing basically nothing. I much prefer the Viper for being an effective, ridiculous DPS constant killing machine. But maybe that's because my viper is IX and my widow I? I think I'd actually even like Phalanx (don't have carnifex yet) better because of better cooldowns, but I haven't tried it yet.

Widow III has a power recharge bonus of around 3% for me on a human infiltrator (could be someplace between 2-5, don't remember exactly). By the time the reloading animation is ready, the cloak is pretty much ready to go again (less than a half second remaining). That is, assuming I cloak, look out, and take a shot. If I'm moving around and use up more of the cloak duration the cooldown can be a bit longer, but in those cases I usually just look for an enemy without shields to shoot where I don't need the cloak bonus.

As far as the slow rate of fire goes, I think it's definitely worth it being able to shoot through guardian shields and hit multiple enemies in 1 shot. Don't need another gun though, if enemies get that close I am doing something wrong. But it's usually easy enough to at least get a body shot and then a punch or two when necessary, or cloak and retreat and let teammates help out.

I am not saying he has to play this style, but am noting the flaw in the weight system's design. What was the elite caliber weapons are outdone by a supposedly lower grade.

Again I see no flaw here.  I only see your opinion.  The widow has advantages over the lower grade and to make it balanced with them it has a much heavier weight.  If you are willing to sacrifice cooldown speed for those advantages then that is your opinion.  If you think the goods don't outweigh (no pun intended) the bads then that is your opinion.

I've gotten the Revvy and [IIRC] 2 upgrades for it but haven't gotten any other "gold" weapons. After I got it though I don't consider it worthy to be a gold unlock -- certainly not as the only gold weapon I have.

The Carnifex as implemented in the demo without Widow X or Carnifex X is the superior gun anyway. Very minimal weight, can scope like a sniper rifle, faster shots, faster power regen. Unless you are a highly specialized sniper build for killing atlases for some reason (when they are amongst the least threatening foes), then widow is just a crutch for poor aim.

You can kill guardians easily with Carnifexes. Head shot through plate, shoot feet, shoot hands, shoot over shield and clip head.

I was extremely lucky, I got the Widow after I bought my 3rd Vet pack. It was ridiculous, I was barely in double digits and I had this monster of a weapon that decimated everything.

I only started using it when I saw and listened to all of the explosive firepower of the hand guns that other players were using. I was INTENSELY jealous! lol! The weapons that I was using were mostly to compliment the class I was playing. Anyway, after watching people take the ENTIRE field out with their handguns, I finally armed myself with it I use it with every class now.

I suffer the penalties for having it of course, cool downs are hideously slow, but I take out Guardians and Phantoms effortlessly when they approach..
