If I hear one more person whine about me being a vanguard in the lobby...

1) Vanguards that don't understand the weight system and get killed ingloriously and in far off places.
2) Vanguards that do understand the weight system and Charge-->Nova-->Charge everything into oblivion while ignoring their team.

I'm going to get myself killed on purpose and wipe us. I'm just sick of it. If you played with crappy Vanguard so be it. I'm a pretty damn good one I run gold like a champ and only seem to die to those damn random turrets which need some kind of nerf cause they wreck me on silver and bronze too but thats not the point. The point is STFU my Vanguard is going to save you/kill something dangerous for you atleast once. Trust me.
Why should people trust you? If you have had numerous bad experiences with a particular class its only natural to be wary when another shows up.
I know I am wary of Vanguards in silver/gold because my experience is that they are not generally team players. They pretty much play for themselves.

A good vanguard is a god send.
But that is the nature of Vanguards - however - I don't care how good you are - you charge into a place that has all angles covered by Turrets - its your own fault.

Yep, don't be an idiot and charge where ever you please. Make sure there isn't any turrets there and you'll be fine.
But for OP, it must suck to hear that. I haven't heard a single complaint yet.

To be fair, it kinda comes with the playstyle of a Vanguard.themaxzero wrote...

As they have to get close to the enemy they can't really stick with the team if they want to be of any use. Of course that doesn't mean that is the way to go on all occasions.
If there are Phantoms around, for axample, I usually let the others handle the apporaching enemies and protect their backs. Same for hacking and such things.

Fixed. Basically any other class provide more support to the team than vanguard, because only idiot will charge at 3+ enemies, so you cant utilize most of your skills. Also most vanguards use shotgun only so if he is not charging his dps is nerfed even more. I would say human and drell vanguard are owesome on bronze/silver, but far inferior to any other class on gold. Asari vanguard is nice on gold, so it is only way to go.Icinix wrote...
A bad vanguard is a nightmare to play with. <- About 90% vanguards are bad
A good vanguard is a fine, but nothing more, unless he is asari.

It seems you don't udnerstand what a Vanguard actually is. Things like Nova are pretty much useless if there aren't at least 3 or more enemies around (not counting Phantom and Nemesis).

I know what vanguard is, but unfortunately it is not designed well for multiplayer at gold(Except asari, plan to play this class if i will be lucky). Nova on gold in 90% cases ends with - I am running to revive vanguard. It is awesome(visually) skill, and has its purposes on bronze/maybe silver, but on gold it is suicide. In most cases youre running with only one bar of hp, and losing shields means youre dead. I can find few usages for it, but not more, for example desperate move to stagger phantom.

also i don't mind if you are a vanguard and you have to keep moving but at the last 20 sec be in the circle for extraction so everyone get the exp =) ( that goes for every class but i see more vanguard making everyone lose exp then other class )

Last game I played... the Vanguard was running around the map the entire time. Taking away our 4 player sync/hacking bonuses and even ruined our perfect extraction because he got downed and none of us was going to go get him.
That said. I play a Drell Vanguard when I'm not playing my Engineer and I'm a smart Vanguard and use my team.

Infact I feel it's one of the most powerful team combo's in the game.
As with an infiltrator close at hand - stunning / freezing enemies - and ready to insta res.
The Vanguard can play more high risk high reward strategy.
also Infiltrator can do some really sweet setups for Vanguard

And turrets...ugg. Sometimes they show up in the strangest places. I charge into a room, clear out the two troops, then dive behind a nice cover spot....only to find myself squatting next to a turret.

My last game was three asari adepts and my vanguard. We owned everything but half the time I couldn't see anything with all the biotic explosions going off in my face. As far as people complaining, I can't hear anything. It's good to be on a pc where it's nice and quiet.

A vanguard you DONT KNOW how good is.Might be okay, might be disastrous. It is a great risk.
Or a Asari Adept/Human engineer who basicly cant go wrong in terms of safety in play, even medicore players bring something to the table.

If I were to really get uptight about squad composition, I'd simply organize a premade with friends and eliminate the random PUG factor altogether.

I've never really seen an issue with the Vanguards in my games getting killed inordinately and turrets are just killers in general because they're hard to see a lot of folks blunder in front of them,
