Who thinks that a ME1 NPC biotic attack, the one that knocks over would be more appropriate for a phantom? They are biotics afterall, and it looks kinda silly when they go pew, pew from their palm.

I frickin' hate how it one-shots your shields. Pushing you over then running over for a sword strike would be worse though.

Their little Iron Man palm canon beam thing that spews horrifying death is right up there with the turret on the really-don't-want-to-be-raped-by-this scale.

Think of the cool ground fatality animations. :wizard:

I kinda like the sound they make when they shoot. It's unique and it helps me pinpoint their position. My asari adept can go hunt them down afterwards.

It's too powerful for what is supposed to be a close range character.

I'm not so sure on the "supposed to be close range"...

Phantom, to me, is almost a mini-boss for Cerberus. They show up ""rarely"" & have the ability to all but two-shot you. They should be found & dealt with before they get the chance to put you down...of course that's not always as easily done as said.

I had it. BioWare needs to decide. Is this a ranged ninja or a melee ninja. Giving them the best of both worlds is insanity. I can handle them and usually have situational awareness to track them or see them up the catwalks. But it has to stop.

They can one-shot you from a distance and one-shot you from melee distance.

To me, an enemy who excells at close-range shouldn't also have good/great ranged attacks.

I think that attack got removed because nothing infuriates players as much as your character lying as ragdoll on the ground looking like complete retard.

So the 6 you get on gold on a single wave is a party ?

This, ohh so many times. They're anything but rare on most gold levels and on the upper silver levels. Easily 4-8/wave.

I love phantoms, even when they shot me at a distance, even when they insta-kill me. Those things are supposed to be scary.

Leave them, they're perfect, and already got a big weakness against stasis.

Giving her a knockdown and more agressiveness would effectively make it frustrating on gold, making you vulnerable to several phantoms charging and atlas´s having free shots on you.

I like that they're pretty scary boogiemen as it were, but I wish it would be a bit more visually apparent when they are firing at you. The first couple of matches I didn't even think they had a ranged attack until I noticed them doing the weird hand animation. Same with the Atlas honestly, when he fires those cannon shots.

I think the visual cues need to be a bit better there.

Been playing as an Asari recently and yeah the scary factor is toned down once their caught in your statis and plus any Infiltrater can wreck them from a distance or anyone using the Widow. They're fine, leave them be and stop trying to make it super easy

Rarely? They show up fairly regularly after wave 7 or 8, and have the ability to take you out without a revive. Add that to the fact that they can take out your shields in 2 bursts, or one shot you at close range, I'd say they're too good at range. The Atlas should be the ranged killer, and tha Phantom the up close and personal one. Instead the Phantom is an agile all round killer that takes far more effort than necessary to kill, without an Adept stopping it with stasis.

Nobody noticed the double "" on either side of rarely?

""RARELY"" in comparison to other targets.

Better, now capsed?

Anyway...

Makes no sense to me...as a Vanguard, anyway. Biotic Charge, Heavy Melee...that'll put it down...then as difficulty goes up, add shotgun, another charge (preferably not a nova unless you know Charge will be ready).

I deal with them same as I deal with most things. I don't really get where all the cry comes from with them...sure I've been downed by them but only when I've just not noticed them...when being lazy ;3.

Your character can be equally as deadly at both extremes at the same time, why not the Phantoms?

Vanguard with just a phalanx = 200% cooldown.  Charge is ALWAYS ready after a nova.  How a vanguard beats a phantom:

on bronze:  Charge/nova

On silver: Charge/nova/Charge/nova

On gold: Charge/nova/charge/nova/charge/noma

I never even experienced the ranged attack until yesterday. Pain in the neck when they seemed to just spam it every time I saw them.

Shotgun seems best. Tried SMG, but the recoil made it difficult to get a bead.
Mattock all the way though. ; )
