Hehe, don't get me wrong, I love Goth stuff, I have a strong affinity to the Dark and Terrifying. Take Hallow's Eve for example...but Emo people just disgust me...

Eh There's the good Emo, and there's the bad emo

There're the emo 'kidz' who are 14 and already crying about their girlfriends dumping them, or faking being drunk, or wearing the same clothes as their older brother.

And there're the Emos...who are NOT kids and who DO actually have a pretty rough life, but SOMETIMES have a brilliant mind and finds ways to express themselves without saying a word(clothing, hairstyle etc.).

Not sure if you hate both or not but hay there it is.

Omg this is an awesome new band I just found!

Anyone know it? If so, got any opinions on other good songs by them?

This song has always been one of my favorites. It's pretty straight forward but in its simplistic nature it really does slowly creep under your skin.

Props to whomever can listen to this song without getting goose bumps.Posted Image

I don't think people with rough lives really turn to crazy hair cuts and female clothing to show how hard they have it. All the emo kids I have ever known ( even the few I like) say its just a trend. Its not like how punk started with poor people in the UK. Its just a bunch of cry baby's wanting attention.

Just because people standout it is assumed they seek attention.

Many of those i know whom fit the stereotype of what an emo is actualy lead quite happy lives and are not seeking attention in the slightest, but are merely following a trend they identify with.

Nothing wrong with that by my book.

Then again each to their own =P

Edit: bear in mind this thread isnt a debate about emo/goths i would hate to see this turn into a huge arguement.

I agree with your opening and ending. But with all the "emo" kids I have come across ( I acknowledge I don't know many, Nor am I trying to say this is all of them) there seems to be drama not far behind. Further I really feel that anybody trying to place themselfs in a group be it "Geeks, Jocks, Emos ect" to be trying to be something your not. classifacation here I suppose is the enemy not "emos" particularly.

Thats something i can agree with.

I hate people classifying and thus giving other people stick for their tastes etc.

All I know is that Some emo kids are good, others are bad...MOST are bad.

The problem with most emo kids is that they really are attention seekers and HORRIBLE drama queens. Actually Emo is short for Emotional, a term made by people who saw them. As far as I know it started off as 'goth emitators(sp?)'. They saw goth people and since they were still young automaticly assumed that they did it for attention.

That is partially true...although it's not the kind of attention they though.

Oh and I'd like to add this little song in response to the following:
Those who slapped me around for not completely agreeing with their opinions on DA:Os combat system
The modders who seem to think that my topics should be locked before everyone elses eventhough the reasons for the lockdown are technically the same.

I'm too apathetic to make judgments about people and what turns them on. It's a nice space to be in.

Yeah, I think that is the main point of Goth and Emo songs, hatred/distaste of being labeled, with a hint of spirituality undertones.

That being said, I favorites right now are...
My Dying Bride - A line of Deathless Kings Album   www.youtube.com/watch
Lacuna Coil   - Comalies Album  www.youtube.com/watch     Christina Scabbia is HOT!!  Posted Image

And who can't not love NIN...my favorite video of all time Posted Image   www.youtube.com/watch
