Yeah, it pretty much is. As for the accidental thing I remember a thread where it was said that your MP stuff could be reset by a bug but your N7 would stay the same. I can't remember the name of the thread though.

Even though you shouldn't have cheated like that, it still seems like it's yet another unthoughtful EA ban indeed. As soon as you pass the limits set by them, you get locked out of your games. Sorry, but I don't need any 'big brother is watching you' scenarios like this one anymore...It's a damn game, it's supposed to be fun...

There is a rare bug that deletes your characters but leaves your N7 rating so you gain N7 points for re-doing the levels you did before.

Yeah its working. Only took them almost a week for this to happen, and all the time me and lots of other people were using all kinds of cheats on other peoples games. So no its not really working.PyroByte wrote...

I have one of the BW devs on my Origin friends list and even he's only at 120.

With 'unthoughtful' I meant what Arcadian Legend just said, namely that it is justified when the OP gets banned for cheating, but that he shouldn't be locked out of his games...Besides, it's just a demo...People take their games, and especially on these boards, way too seriously.

OP is not to first, I noticed quite a few people apearing on the leaderboards with >120 but after a few days they were gone again.
Even a week for the banhammer is quite quick by EA standards (BF3 nothing happens for months)

Yet, it's a slippery slope. What happens to those who've modded the SP? I changed a couple things in ME2, like adding a shotgun and/or assault rifle to the caster's weapon loadout. It would be bad when those things are not possible anymore without risking a MP ban.
Cheating in MP is really bad, although ME MP isn't PvP anyway. Cheating or modifying the SP version doesn't hurt anyone.

If the origin account still works (not blocked/ disabled) SP games can still be played. Even the ME3 sp is possible since it doesn't need a connection to ea servers or the alliance network. (so the ban seems to only affect ME3 mp).
