The Prothean squadmate is a pretty well-known fact.
There's even xbox live DLC already.
^ Maybe so, but there are still people that would like to be surprised when playing ME3 for the first time, and don't seek out every little "well-known fact" beforehand. I am one of them.
Then leave the spoilers forum.

I bet everyone thinks he's a Collector.
Most people in the dialogue I've listened to don't know what he is, and don't believe you when you tell them.

This thread was originally in the No Spoilers forum, thanks. I PM'd Stanley Woo and asked him to move it.Harvoification wrote...

Then that sucks, but still. There have been spoilers in the general forum for months. The mods shut them down when they can, but the only way to avoid spoilers completely is to not visit the forums. It's a shame, but it's the truth.

Pretty disgusted, releasing it as Day one DLC is pretty bad in my opinion.
I think you misunderstood the premise of this thread.

OK first... no it would not because not everyone looks in the dlc page... I especially dont because I am on PC so I barely have pop ups saying there is a new downloadable content..... so yeah... I didnt know about this until now and probably would not know until I play the game, because someone stated that you could meet him anyways, but you need dlc to make him companionStephenc13 wrote...

Sooner or later we will all know about the game, The leaked beta and storyline already appeared online so by your logic we should all know about it already...
Some of us avoid articiles like this so that idiots like yourself won't spoil it for us!
Someone please lock at delete this thread, even just reading the title in non spoiler forums ruins it for people
I never read the leaked script or watched the leaked beta.
I want to keep ME3 as spoiler free for myself as I can.
The Prothean honestly would have been spoiled before you played ME3

Anyone who reads even the general sections that was labeled no spoilers would have been spoiled, because Bioware themselves announced the DLC there yesterday. This whole argument is moot.

Liara's reaction should be interesting.
If that Prothean starts stealing all of Liara's attention he's going out an airlock. My Shepard does not share!
Such a bit#h move having the prothie as dlc, should be part of the dam game for everyone.
Well, if he's dlc then you can expect him to have as big an impact on the plot of ME3 as Sebastian had on DA2. Which means virtually nothing...

Can we expect just about every single person we meet in-game to be surprised about the Prothean?
Especially Salarian scientists
Edit: If this post spoiled the surprise, that's too bad.
The Prothean is DLC, you would have had it spoiled before you even put the game in.
Eh, I'd imagine not as much as you'd think or hope. I remember taking Shale down to the Deep Roads in Dragon Age and being bumbed that the dwarves weren't falling all over themselves being in front of a real live Golem.

interesting thing about prothy, he is apart of the CE version, they get him for free b/c they're getting the CE ... now paid dlc for the rest b/c gives those people who didn't buy the CE a option to get him ... now imagine the rage if if bioware said nope, prothy only available to those who buy the CE and everyone else doesn't get him and by the amount of dialogue and interactiveness with other squadmates, they probably did a bit more work on him then the free zaeed, and hence, those cost

Which is an indication of what we know now, that Shale was cut due to time contraints, and then reinserted in the game after it was delayed. They didn't have time to go back rewrite the game and record new dialogue.

Christ. There's nothing more depressing than realizing there's a small army of jobless, single, overweight men in their late 20's/early 30's sitting around all day on 4chan trying to co-ordinate an attack on a video game forum. Actually the only thing more depressing is the fact that cheap, lazy racist snark is the best they can come up with.

I mean, I hate Bioware. They can never be forgiven for Neverwinter Nights. Or the Mako. But in interacting with other people who hate it, I feel like a bleeding fanboy.
