It's interesting to say the least. I want to see how it plays out.

I fail to see how the existence of Prothy is a spoiler to anyone when there's literally an announcement of the DLC. People generally know what they are about to buy before they proceed to do so.

Well, my thoughts still stand. I Hate the design. The Collectors looked bad-ass. Very muscular looking Grasshoppers with 4 glowing eyes. SInister... Yeah sure. The Collectors were made using Prothean DNA... W/e... It worked for the Collectors, not the Protheans. I always thought there looked like the statues.

In Hock's vault, where all the goods are, there is a (keyword) Prothean statue. I thought it was set in stone; THAT is how they will look. (Mind the pun...)

Second EPIC fail, if you ask me, is definately the Jamaican accent. I facepalmed as soon as i heard that... What were they thinking!?

I was expecting some unique/cool tone from his voice...But instead we get a Prothean who imbraced the Rastafarian culture...

Personally I could care less about the Prothean as a squad mate, I am more excited about the extra weapon, chance to visit Eden Prime, and alt costumes for my squad mates. He will probably get stuck on board the Normandy for me, because my main squad will be Ash and Tali/Liara. I might use him once in awhile and take him to certain places to see if he has any comments about it, but not all that excited seems he will be a lot like Kasumi and Zieed a waste of space.

The prothean just seams like a cool thing, I would have preferred if he looked like the statues too, but he doesn't look bad, and he sounds like a BAMF warrior. His voice is like a mix of all sorts of different accents, they just all happen to originate with black cultures, which I also find cool, his voice is unique as far as the aliens accents go, and of that I majorly approve.

Every single person you talk to comments on him otherwise bioware failed epicly. It would be like if someone walked up to you with a alien behind them you would be like wth.

I have listened to plenty of dialogue where people ask about him. Also, remember that no one knows what Protheans look like, so they are simply commented on an unidentifiable alien. They don't know what he is.

I don't want every single person to go ga ga over prothy. There are a lot of alien species out there, and its implied there are many we havn't even seen yet. Curiosity about a new alien, and surprise or slight disbelief from others.

However to those who actually studied the protheans all their life, like liara or others should have vastly different reactions though.

Mordin has dialogue. So does his replacement. Wrex asks about him. But like I said, they aren't going nuts about it. Just asking "what is he?". If you tell them, they will all have a reaction.

Plus your squad mates, minus liara, should all be thinking, "It's Shepard, of course Shepard would have a prothean, who else could bring back a 50,000 year extinct species?"

You thought wrong.

Nothing was set in stone. It was referred to as a prothean statue because that was what Hock (and everyone else) wrongly believed it was.

Prenihility confirmed for illiterate american.

WHAT DOES NO SPOILERS MEAN TO YOU????????????????

THOUGHTLESS IDIOT

This board says "Spoilers allowed", so he did nothing wrong.

And I wouldn't even consider Prothy a spoiler at this point, considering how every other thread on BSN is about him, and his DLC has been leaked for a good 6 months or more.

*Reaper comes into Harby's office*
Steve: What did you want to talk about, boss?
Harby: Well, Steve, I know you're new to this Reaping business - after all, we've only had you here for two cycles - but the last cycle I gave you the chance to prove yourself by wiping out the last protheans. Not an easy job, but there was a lot of prestige involved and I truly believed you were up to the task.
Steve: Yeah, that was a real pain in the ass. At least I got it done.
Harby: Yeah, about that...
Steve: ... what?
Harby: You know Shepard, right?
Steve: Yeah?
Harby: Turns out the good Commander is running around with a prothean by his side.
Steve: A... wait, what?
Harby: You heard me, Steve. A prothean.
Steve: B-but I wiped them out!
Harby: No, Steve. You didn't. Now, I don't know how things were back in the heydays when your species had yet to be Reaped, but we Reapers believe in efficiency. Cold, deadly efficiency. A monumental oversight like this will bring negative attention to all of us. I hope you see the problem here.
Steve: Just... just give me a few years and I'll kill the little bugger.
Harby: The damage is done. I was willing to let Ilos slide because, hey, that affair took us all by surprise and Sovereign promised me he could fix it. A setback later, and, well, here we are.
Steve: Just give me a chance, boss, I can fix it.
Harby: This is Shepard we're talking about. I don't think so, Steve.
Steve: B-but...
Harby: You know what this means. We have to let you go, Steve. You're a liability to the fleet.
Steve: But where will I go?
Harby: Not my problem. Pack your things and leave. Go and join Pete in the core of Mnemosyne for all I care. Maybe you can share stories of failure.
Steve: B-but...
Harby: Get out.
*Steve gets up, walks out and slams the door behind him with rage*
Harby: Goddamnit! I am surrounded by f***ing AMATEURS!

Oh, and Harby has a picture of Sovereign on his desk. Some lonely nights at the office he caresses it while wishing death upon Shepard. The evening reaper cleaning ladies say they can hear him cry, but he just denies it.

Just heard his voice on youtube, sounds very black. Nothing wrong with that of course, i'm half caste myself but i would have thought a more ancient/grizzled voice would have been more appropriate.

And now Steve is prowling the streets of the Citadel with a "Will work for juiced people" sign. He's been unsurprisingly unsuccessful in this endeavour. Meanwhile, the Council has maintained their story that he's not a Reaper, just a big-boned, five-legged elcor with extensive cybernetics that hypnotizes people with his charming good looks, this in spite of Steve's repeated statements claiming to be a Reaper and that he "Never asked for this".

I'm seriously going to laugh my ass off if it turns out that Phil LaMarr got a contract upgrade in order to voice the Prothean...
