Hi all,
I've been enjoying the demo a lot, and playing multiplayer which has been great! But the demo keeps crashing on me, during rounds and at the end of some of the rounds too. Frustratingly I've lost all the exp / money I gained on those levels...
When I completely uninstalled and re-installed the game it makes no difference. After a fresh install, when I startt the game I get an error message
Your hardware appears to be unsupported.
and something like Aspects of the game will not be supported.
Opening up the configuration menu for Mass Effect 3 (right clicking on the shortcut to the game in the start menu and choosing 'configure') I go to the display tab, and it has
Display Adaptor as Generic PnP Monitor on Intel® HD Graphics Family
as the only display option. I could understand how this wouldn't be enough to run the game, and would explain the crashes, but I also have a 2Gb nVidia GeForce GT 540M which works perfectly with other games I've been playing lately (Deus Ex 3, Skyrim) on high quality settings. (It's a new laptop with Windows 7 64bit and 6Gb Ram, Intel i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz.)
So it seems like the demo isn't recognising my graphics card. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Demo keeps crashing - not recognising graphics card?

Discuss it with nVIDIA. Some gamers have no trouble with the Intel chip taking over in spite of a Geforce card. Some others never get it to work at all. I gave up on Geforces a couple of years ago now. Before this foolishness started.

PS: disable to Origin overlay, that seems to help too.

Hi Osena,
Tried that, which was good to do in any case but didn't seem to make any difference.
Did what you suggested in that thread, survivor, and that seemed to work. Thanks! Origin overlay was already disabled.
