Everyone loves the Krogan so I am sure there are plenty of well developed builds for this monster. Let's talk about how we all roll!?

I started with a shotgun toting Krogan just the way I felt it was supposed to be, but I realized quickly that the shotgun is usually just much worse than melee. So I switched to the mattock, and it was really good. I think Mattock only krogan would be a very decent way to go, with maxed carnage.

Luckily, I have a widow and I have found the Krogan Sniper to be an unstoppable killing machine. I use widow/phalanx. I snipe/carnage groups of foes from far away. A wonderful combo because carnage staggers groups of people leaving them standing still for a quick headshot.

If something dares get close ... well it doens't matter what gun I have then does it?

How often do you guys use the fortification->melee move? I try to remember to do it but I forget so often. Also, does the bonus damage effect the headbut or only the heavy?

Last night I ran with a Krogan soldier using a Claymore and Predator V. I have Fortification Maxed, Inferno Grenade to do most possible damage, and Carnage to do most possible damage and more damage against armor... I was unstoppable.'

EDIT: The one thing that makes me angry is the slow walk speed.

Of course you have it on all the time. But if you its on, and you activate it again, it pushes the power to your guantlets and gives you a huge melee damage boost for like 5 seconds.

So you can tap the fort buttong and then melee a centurion at full shields and send him flying.

Of course you want to always have it on otherwise.

i carry a shotgun but would end up not using a single shot out of it. XP i have a Krogan Berserker with the fortification on and i just run towards everything. On tougher enemies, i purge my Fortification for that melee boost and after a heavy melee, turn fortification on again. =) i usually go toe-to-toe with an Atlas and usually 2-hit a Phantom. XD oh and Turrests hurt but can usually down them with 1 heavy melee and 2 headbutts.

But yeah... i RARELY use my gun.

Yeah I agree with the above, although the phantom and Atlas can insta-kill you with their grab move so you need to be careful of those things. I gave my korgan Martial Artist in rage so he gets a 30% melee bonus after killing with a melee. So he can knock down a bunch of dudes like dominos once he gets going.

A korgans best friend is the survival pack. Fully recharging health/shields with fortification on is just unfair. He already has 1000/1000 life shields plus like 30% damage reduction. It lets you charge into absurd situations and take like 3000 damage, just to become fully healed!

Krogan Soldier: *sprints* *heavy melee flinging a guy across the map* *headbutt* *headbutt* *headbutt* *sprints off, leaving a pile of corpses*

Guardians ****** me off to no end, though.

The melee trails off once you get to gold difficulty however. Really strong on bronze and silver very underpowered on gold. I play him like a soldier, claymore is insane damage even at medium range I can usually one shot something after an opening shot with carnage. Inferno grenades have really strong aoe damage. His melee is really good on gold against single targets and I do use it but believe me. That extra hp and survivability goes a long way.
