Basically for any of you who still don't get the point. Bioware set out to make a game. Today games cost $60. DLC is supposed to be extra content that is released after the game comes out. The main points of DLC I can see from a player and developer point of view is that if a gamer falls in love with a game, when they finish it and exhaust its content they will want more, and if that developer gives them more they will go for it. Making a game and then setting aside certain content from day 1 as extra content is simply greedy as it serves only to extort gamers who have been eagerly anticipating this game as they have been following the series. I would have to guess that this is mostly EA's doing and that they are deliberately taking advantage of people's love for this series. This is why we have DLC coming with all the extra little pieces of merch that EA is spitting out as marketing campaigns.
Dlc is supposed to be additional content. Period. There is no rule that declares dlc MUST be post release. Furthermore, extort? Are you serious? Does EA lock you out of the game if you don't purchase the dlc? No. The dlc is there. You can decide whether it's worth your ten dollars or not.
^ That choice should only apply to used buyers period.
