If I pay 60$ for the game, (which I am only doing simply for the multiplayer this time around, sadly.) I expect to get all the content you made for it, especially on PC. Instead I have to get the game through other methods so I can play all the content that you made for it on day one.

Because the content is already on the damn disc have you not heard what the prothean sounds like this stuff was taken from the demo in other words content intentionlly taken out to sell.
I'm curious, how excatly did they manage to add 600+ megabites of data for just that single character in a demo that was only 1.5 gigs, yet managed to have three other squadmates with you at that stage. I mean, if all 600+ megabytes was just for the protherian, then Garrus and Liara alone must have increased the size to 2.1 gigs. Then with Wrex and Anderson, not to mention data for both ashley and Kaide, that must have increased the demo unto 4.2 gigs

Is the very specific Prothean we are talking about so integral to Mass Effect 3, that the original product doesn't make sense or isn't worth the 60 dollars?ironcreed2 wrote...
How
about the fact that the Protheans were established as an integral part
of the story in Mass Effect 1. Is that not reason enough that this
character should have just been included in the game, or at the very
least, included with every new copy of the game?
I
simply think the fact that he is a Prothean carries enough weight that
he should have just been a part of the game. Nothing more, nothing less.
Anyway, I am not here to whine, as I know die-hard fans will defend
paying more for day one DLC until the end of time. I just wanted to say
that there are those of us who do not feel entitled for more, just
entitled to what easily could have (and in the old days very much would
have) just been a part of the game.
In summary, this "pay more
for this, pay a little more for that" day one DLC appraoch is simply
getting ridiculous for some of us. That is all I am going to say on the
matter here. Enjoy your Prothean, as well as the game. I'll just enjoy
the game without it as a matter of principle.

Not having the Prothean squadmate does not affect your ability to complete the game at any level, therefore, within the context of the game you do not REQUIRE it, just because you WANT it doesn't mean that to by not being able to implicitly play it will leave you with a broken game experience.
Of course people feel that it is important from a Lore perspective, but that lore is based on Prothean civilization of 50000 years ago, and yes, having the character may fill in some blanks regarding the Protheans but in a similar fashion no-one would know about Grey boxes, if it weren't for Kasumi
Thank you for helping to make the gaming industry an even slimier place. It's this awful line of thinking that is only going to further games getting chopped up and sold piece by piece. Our only cause of action is to support quality devs who don't price gouge their games before they're even released.

Bioware is bought by EA.
EA controls bioware. EA can turn ME into a call of duty style franchise. It's all over.
Wait no it isn't it's just a demo.

Do you? I used the word correctly.
From Webster's
Extort: to obtain from a person by force, intimidation, or undue or illegal power : wring; also : to gain especially by ingenuity or compelling argument
Is EA forcing you to buy it? Are we being intimidated to buy it? Are they doing something illegal? No.
So they are not extorting anyone.
