I've lost count of the amount of times I have stuck to a wall instead of reviving my team mates. This costs lives. How about setting it to Reload so I am hardly affected if I press it too early?
That is all.
Please change Revive button on console

I'd forsee very similar problems if Revive was on X instead of A.
Perhaps on <...that'd make more sense to me as it's not used anyway & Revive is unique.

I agree. Too often I've seen team mates bleed to death for that same reason.

You have to look at the red circle that's on your teammate to revive, in order to avoid taking cover when near a wall.

It's even worse when they're surrounded and you take cover, pointlessly, resulting in your slow death as well.

I understand the system. Another way to check is that the " Revive (A) " bit at the top of the screen goes from grey to white. But if you look away slightly or press it too soon, your character will probably get themselves in a lot of trouble.
Also I forgot Reload would be a bad idea as I am a one-weapon user so of course holding X usually does nothing for me!

To look? It doesn't. But under certain situations, you end up taking more time than needed to point to the circle, causing someone's death, If your team mate is surrounded for example.

Get rid of it all together and simply let us have a fixed amout of time. Mashing button to stay alive make sense for the dead person, but when you are rushing to revive a squad mate you have no way of knowing how long he will last.

Get rid of what? Do you mean the mashing system? I was talking about the button for reviving team mates and that it can conflict with other commands sometimes. Just got out of a couple more games and it seemed to be my team mates who were the worst for wall hugging instead of reviving...

The whole concept of "bind as many functions to the spacebar/random console button" is just crap.
It's just ridiculous. I don't know how many times I've gone into cover when I wanted to revive someone; or how many times I started rolling around instead of going into cover; or when I want to go out of cover, I just go straight into another cover.
I actually thought about asking, if they plan to replace all controls in next game by one button, which we constantly need to mash to keep the game running.

I agree that it's a bit ridiculous having so many functions bound to A but just get use to swinging your aim towards the teammate before you press it. Same concept when you're trying to start a hack or objective instead of taking cover, just make sure you're aimed towards the objective or teammate and you'll hit it every time.

I think it should be changed to hold A (or X for PS3), at least while stationary, that way you're not sprinting. Gears of War had this same problem for 1 and 2, so they changed revive to hold A (while stationary) and it worked great in 3.

Just change Themeral Clip Packs to Med Packs (honestly I have no idea how many of these I have now but they never see use outside of Gold). Press Left on the D-Pad to insta revive a squadmate. It would be like using Medi-Gel fro ME2, it could add another tactical layer and since you'd only have 8 per teams it is easy to lose them. (Note that these would insta revive anywhere onthe mapand reviving two squadmates at the sametie would use up 2 pack,it will alsoheal the player with the highest blood first so the first player to go down would be the one to die as the other two are revived depite onestill easily having 3-5 second of button mashing...
